Happy Tails Dog Care - Wag on over!
Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner my entire life and am currently a pet parent to a lovable 55-pound goof named Othello (shepherd-hound mix, 6 years) and an energetic 30-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix named Cupid (8 months). I have also been responsible for caring for a Jack Russell Terrier. I'm the go-to dog watcher for my family and friends who have dogs! I am very comfortable handling dogs of any size on a fixed-leash, as my own dog is a strong 55 pounds and gives me no issue. I can easily provide longer walks for higher energy dogs upon request, as well as trips to the dog park if you and your dog are comfortable with it! I can also provide equally exciting and fulfilling activities for smaller dogs that need a different level of exercise. For drop-in visits, I can easily accommodate you and your dog's routine -- I want nothing more than to give your a dog a great experience and give you as an owner peace of mind. I know the anxiety of being away from your pet and being concerned that they are being taken care of -- I can help ease those feelings by doing a Meet & Greet before agreeing to any services so you can see how your dog and I get along. In addition, I'll send you as many photos as you would like of your dog while I am with them so you can have real-time updates on your dog's well-being. Lastly, I'm very comfortable communicating with an owner about how their dog is doing -- whether that be via phone call, text, e-mail, or photo, or even in-person. I love dogs and want nothing more than for both dog and owner to have a fantastic experience with me!

Lauren was great for a whole week while I was on vacation. She was consistent, took my dog for walks and to the park, and also made sure my cat had cuddle time. Lauren was responsive to messages very quickly, came for a meet & great, and posted lots of pictures and updates.
Lauren is incredible with dogs! She really has a knack for connecting with them; every dog that I have seen her take care of has really responded to her. She does a great job of taking care of their needs like food, exercise, etc but also has such a genuine love for them, that they really feel happy and secure with her. Highly recommended!
Lauren has watched my two dogs on a number of occasions, ranging from a couple days, to a week, and did a wonderful job. I have a jack russsell terrier that's 8 that loves people, and a lab mix that was a rescue. The rescue is realllly shy but warmed up to Lauren quickly partly because he likes playing with her dogs. When I travel she's my top choice to watch my dogs, assuming they don't come with me ?

Information Lauren M. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know what kinds of activities your dog enjoys -- does your dog prefer to walk slow and sniff or cruise and get some distance in? Does your dog have a favorite toy or type of toy (ball vs. rope vs. chew, etc.)? Does your dog have any behaviors I should be aware of -- indicators your dog is scared or uncomfortable, or behaviors like pulling on their leash or barking? I'm comfortable with any kind of breed of any age -- all I want to know what are some of your dog's personality quirks and favorites -- this helps me give each dog a personalized and enjoyable experience on a walk or drop-in visit!
A typical day
I have easy access to numerous trails and state parks in the immediate vicinity to my home and love taking dogs on walks out in nature (on-leash, of course!). If you and your dog are comfortable with it, I would also love to take your dog to my local dog park! If your dog is a little more shy, I can also take walks around your neighborhood. Do you have a favorite route? Let me know, I'll give that a try!
