Super Girl for a Super Pet!

Pet care experience

I know, I know! I have a silly profile picture but I am a happy person and your dog or cat will be able to tell. I have lived in various States including Alaska and Hawaii where I was lucky enough to work with and love crazy sled dogs and cattle herding masters. I have had pets my entire life! When I was young my family and I did water rescue with our two Newfoundlands and I have lovingly cared for my family members no matter how many legs they have. I also have a long history of caring for friends and family members pets when they needed to leave for a trip (spontaneous and planned, life happens!). I am currently a PA (Physician Assistant) student working on my Master's Degree. I have time off while I await the next phase of my program. I am active and responsible and look forward to meeting you. I welcome all breeds! This site is primarily for dogs or cats, but I have experience with rabbits, birds, snakes and fish. Also I am an emergency medical technician with over 6 years experience working in a busy city environment. I can handle very stressful situations and I have a knack for making things much better. If you are in a tight spot and need a super girl please reach out.

Lauren was just absolutely AMAZING. She kept us posted the whole time with reports and photos. She kept the dogs on our schedule and treated them like her own. They were so happy when we got home! She made me feel at ease leaving my old pups with her. I would recommend her to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lauren has been great for Brody. She helped two days in a row. Both times she left a personal note summarizing the visit and even left a mini Polaroid pic. I will definitely continue to use Lauren.

Information Lauren K. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to do a meet and greet, but honestly do your best to put in as many details as you can in the “care instructions” portion of your dog’s Rover profile. The more detailed the better job I can do. Here are some things you should include: • What is their normal routine? What times of day do they eat, get treats have bathroom breaks? • Have they been without you before for long periods of time? • Do they get along with other animals? Do they dislike certain animals (cats, small dogs, big dogs, squirrels)? • Do they have an aggressive nature when it comes to certain toys or food? • Is your pet a master escape artist? Do they have a habit of trying to run out the door? • Do they have any bad habits I need to look out for? Peeing in a certain spot in the house, chewing on furniture, eating your children’s stuffed animals or stealing socks? • What are you house rules? Are they allowed on furniture, your bed, upstairs and down? • Do you use a crate? • Does anything trigger anxiety attacks or accidents? • How do they normally react to new people? Do they hate all males or all females they have ever met (I have a friend who keeps telling me her pup hates all woman except me). • Do they bark or cower at noises or people walking nearby them? • Have they ever bitten you or a stranger? Are they a rescue with a hard past? (Please be honest, I will not discriminate. I need to know their temperament to avoid any stress on your dog and avoid any unfortunate incidents). • Do they take any medications? Let me know the times and forms (pill, injection, suspension). • Really tell me what they love and what they hate! I know cats and dogs that love their belly rubbed and others that hate it. Just like people every pet has their own personality!

A typical day

When I come to stay with your furry friend my goal is to keep things normal for them. Do they have a favorite ball, love tug-o-war, Frisbee? That being said if they want to run and frolic at a dog park and you find you can't make it there as often as you like, we can go! I am up for any responsible and safe fun. Please note our 30 min walk is at your pet's paws pace. If they are a tiny pup we can take it slow. Likewise if they want/need a 30 minute run, that's just fine.
