Pet care experience
No breed or size preference- LOVEisLOVE I gave up my corporate gig for grad school, which allows for a very flexible schedule. Please send me a message regarding any times not indicated on my calendar. I have love for all animals, but there is something so special about dogs! Amiright! I have owned dogs for 15 years and introduced myself into the veterinary world when I worked at an animal hospital and boarding facility. I have two dogs of my own, fondly nicknamed “The Odd Couple” as one is a rescue 75lb Pit mix and the other is a 12lb Schnauzer. The uniqueness of my Hound-Brood has taught me so much about training and socializing techniques as well as the best tools for different personalities. I am a firm believer in the Easy Walk harness and the GentleLeader head collar. I genuinely enjoy talking to my pets whether it is praise, redirection or cues. I find a simple “ok, let’s go” is more effective then and a leash tug. My pets are extremely special to me and I want to provide the same level of care to your Hound-Brood. *When I stay with your dog at your house my only request is that I have access to wifi and a comfortable, clean place to sleep.

Each pet is individual with their own set of likes, dislikes, preferences and quirks. I would like to have a solid understanding in order to provide the best experience for you and your pet. Some Things I Like To Learn Ahead Of Time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before our visit? - Any special health issues I need to tend to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, allergies, etc.? - Any specific training methods you currently use so that I may keep consistent? - Interactions or triggers to avoid? For instance, other dogs, children, mailman, loud trucks, etc.? - What is the best way to spoil your dog?
A typical day
As much activity and attention as your pet is comfortable with. If your pet has the appropriate permit and tag I am more then happy to head to the nearest dog park! Socialization and comfort can be just enough or a jog through the neighborhood to release some energy, whatever is the best fit for a happy pup! If your dog would benefit from some pup socialization I can include my 7 yr old Schnauzer on any walks or park play. She is socialized, spayed and up to date on all shots.
