Pet care experience
I have lived with and cared for dogs since I was a little girl, and have house-sat since I was 14 for friends, neighbors and members of my community. I have experience with high-energy dogs of all sizes; bathing, feeding, walking and caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. But more than anything, I just love dogs. I spend my free time researching them, learning about them, and giving them all of the pets that their hearts desire.I believe that animals are the most beautiful source of joy in the world, and because of that, we must show them the utmost respect and love.

Lauren was great! We consider our pup a bit high maintenance due to her energy levels and anxieties, and typically come home to an anxious and wound up dog after being gone. This time was different! River was so chill and kept going back to the bedroom she stayed in with Lauren, leading us to believe River was in the best hands. We also a cute Polaroid of River, which was a nice welcome home gift. We highly recommend Lauren! Thanks so much!
I've met few people as enamored with dogs as Lauren is. I don't exactly have the most kind doberman, but nobody gets him as giddy as Lauren can. Likewise, I have nothing but kind words for her exquisite treatment of all kinds of animals. Frankly, I've been having trouble finding a new walker as charismatic as she, since her move to university.
Lauren is one of the best sitters my family has had to watch our dog. She takes the time to interact with the animals, instead of just performing the bare minimum. Lauren truly cares about the animals she watches and she always leaves whatever space she was in cleaner than she found it. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone to watch their pets.
Lauren has taken care of my dogs, whenever I have needed, for years. She is responsible, respectful of our home and punctual. She is also a true dog lover and loves spoiling dogs with lots of attention and cuddles. She treats every dog as if they were her own. I would highly recommend her!!

I do not offer home care, but have experience with both crate trained and non crate trained dogs. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pup under someone else’s care, but I assure you that I have the utmost respect and love for animals. I feel as though they do as much (if not more) for me as I do for them, and therefor I promise to protect and be extra gentle with your pup, and oblige by any and all requests that you may have. I have spent time with dogs who have a history of neglect and abuse, and understand that they are to be respected, and that it is crucial to be attentive to their emotion cues.

Please let me know if there are any special needs or behaviors that your dog has ahead of time if possible. I am open to working with nearly all dogs, and it should be no problem at all as long as I am aware. I always do my best to be attentive to the signals that the animals are giving me, and know that though it can be hard to understand our furry friends, it is of the utmost importance.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs mentally and physically. I often go to Amazon park to enjoy the fresh air and would love to bring your pup along with. Amazon, as well as the countless other parks (including dog parks) in the area are amazing places that I am excited to take your dog to play ball, run, and sniff until their hearts are content. I get along well with high energy dogs, but would equally love to take your senior dog to the park to lay in the sun and get some fresh air and new smells.

Availability
I am currently a student at the UofO, and I typically have very open availability due to large gaps between courses. I am free particularly in the evening, but have time available during the day, as well as in the morning almost every day. I am willing to be flexible about my schedule to accommodate to your needs, as I understand how crazy life can get sometimes. I offer same-day cancellation for walks and drop ins, as well as same day booking for those days when you just can’t get a break.
