I am @spiritofthecollies on Instagram! I am a professional dog trainer at Mannered Mutts Training here in Bloomington, Indiana, and would love to take care of your pets while you’re out of town! I have 9 years of experience with all kinds of animals, so I’m willing to care for any and all! I have grown up around animals my entire life with my grandpa and uncle being equine (horse) veterinarians and my aunt being a dog and cat veterinarian, at a veterinary clinic in Zionsville, IN. I worked at a boarding kennel for 3 1/2 years which included working in treatment at the veterinary clinic. I did a 5-week internship at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, worked at the Humane Society of Hamilton County in Indiana, and I am now a Dog Trainer, and have been for 4 1/2 years now. I have 2 competitively trained sport dogs, a 4 year old Border Collie, Lakota, and a 2 year old Border Collie, Reign. I do all sorts of sports and competitions with them, including titling them in dock diving, obedience, agility, disc, etc. In July of 2018, I finished an extremely intense 6 month program in High Ridge, Missouri to become a Master Dog Trainer. I have experience with dogs with behavioral issues, puppies, big dogs, small dogs, you name it. I look forward to taking care of your pets while you are gone!! **I have experience working with prong collars, ecollars, slip leads, slip collars, martingale collars, flat collars, harnesses, etc.

Lauren has always been passionate about animals care and rescue. She has 4 years of working with caring for, cleaning after, exercising and grooming small animals. She worked at an animal sanctuary leaning about animal rescue as an Intern which is her passion. She is responsible and always leaves the pet and the house in better shape than when she walked in. Super dedicated and highly recommend!

I love any and all dogs no matter their age, breed, or size. I would like to know if your dog has a bite record, any resource guarding, leash reactivity, crate issues, is an escape artist, and anything else detrimental to the safety of your pet and myself.
A typical day
I can take your dog on a walk around the block, to the park, or wherever you would prefer, as well as any activities as you'd like me to do with them!

I am currently working full-time, but I am available to do drop ins in the morning, at lunchtime, and in the evening/nighttime. I am currently unable to do boarding at this time.
