Pet care experience
I had a 17 year old cat and had a Staffy for 11 years until old age took them away. In fact, we used to board Sid the Staffy while his family went on holiday and ended taking him on permanently as his family wanted to rehome him after they had their newborn. Friends and neighbours tend to ask me to sit and/or walk their dogs while they are away as they know their dogs are in very good hands and I enjoy the companionship. Their dogs are treated like my own family pets in a clean, tidy, smoke free home with space indoors and out. We really miss having our own dog but it's not the time for us to have a new, permanent dog just yet which is why boarding is perfect for me at the moment. I thought I'd set up on Rover and see if I can help more people.

Very happy with Lauren. An obvious dog lover. Millie enjoyed Lauren's company and was very settled. Little messages and pictures of her on walks or snuggled in with the family whilst we were away confirmed to us we had made the right choice. Wouldn't hesitate to use Lauren again for Millie in future if needed.
Left Trigger with Lauren and her family and can’t fault them at all. He settled with them straight away. Updated and pictures were sent to me everyday and there were no issues whatsoever! Would definitely recommend and will use again. Trigger says thank you and see you all soon x

My garden is also enclosed so no other dog can get in and your dog is safe and can't get out. In the hot weather, I'm more than happy to get your doggy a paddling pool and or a cool mat to keep them comfortable. Saying that, if your dog is anything like my old dog, they will totally ignore my health and safety adjustments and seek out the sun anyway. While in my care, I will send regular pictures and updates as to what they have been up to.

Is your dog child friendly? I have an 11 year old that would love to give plenty of cuddles and hold the lead when on walks with me. I would like to know if your dog likes to be on it's own or quite happy to meet other dogs on walks. If your dog needs medication, full instructions on how you do it to remain consistent with your method. How often does dog need to be let out for loo breaks. Does your dog wee or poo in the house? Does your dog chew furniture, wood work etc.
A typical day
I love to walk myself so having a 4 legged companion makes it even more fun. I like to use dog walking routes in my village so dogs can meet, however, I can also take your dog to a local National Trust venue that has a fenced bit so the dog can be fenced in with me on our own if they don't like other dogs. I also like to go to our local wood (in the car) where your dog can spend well over an hour sniffing about and looking for squirrels.

I currently work term time so when I am off work in the term time holidays, I can be at home with your pets pretty much all day, barely leaving them for more than a couple hours. I live in a nice village with plenty of dog walking routes so your dogs can have a good sniff around while having a bit of exercise and getting to know new places.
