Pet care experience
I know how scary it can be to leave your pet with a stranger, and I know the importance of feeling safe with them. I've had many rescued and fostered dogs and cats myself that were/are my beloved family. I’ve volunteered in animal shelters for 13 years, spending lots of time with dogs of all sizes and ages and I foster neonatal bottle-fed kittens. I've even rescued, raised, and released an injured newborn squirrel! My friends, clients, and colleagues say I'm dependable and empathetic, and many of them have asked me to care for their pets while they’re away. You can be sure to receive photos, updates, and daily reports so you can rest assured that your pet is being lovingly attended to.

Your baby's safety and well being are my first priority. I’m comfortable administering oral and topical medications. I have lots of experience getting dogs in and out of crates, as well as getting them in and out of homes/kennels/yards while minimizing opportunities for escape.

Tell me any and everything! The more I know, the more comfortable I can make your pet. I always appreciate a quick list of care guidelines in an email or on your counter. I've seen two-page typed instructions and bullet points on a napkin ... both work! (I'm admittedly a two-page gal, myself.) Things to consider including in your notes: - Medical needs - Dietary needs - Behavior challenges or concerns - Likes & dislikes - Their personality and any quirks they have - Specific ways they communicate their needs (to go potty, to be left alone, etc) - Specific things you're working on training and commands they respond well to
A typical day
Do you have a dog that loves to run around all day? Count me in! I'd love to walk in your neighborhood, visit your local dog park, or play a game in the backyard. I also love using puzzle toys, laser pointers, or any toy that keeps your pup or kitty loved. Is your baby more relaxed? I'll meet them where they're most comfortable and will gladly take them on a slow stroll or just snuggle and chat on the couch. Dogs and cats are the best listeners. :)

HOURS AVAILABLE: 9AM - 5PM. TUESDAYS I’m available 9am - 1pm. I have a very flexible part-time work schedule, so I can easily fit your pet's care into my specified hours. I'm available 7 days a week. My calendar is updated but if you aren't sure, just ask!
