Vet Tech to Travel Agent
Pet care experience
I have been responsible for fur babies for upwards of 15 years in a variety of settings including experience working in veterinary clinics. Now I work as a Travel Agent and am home 95% of the time. I treat all creatures (great and small) with the love and compassion I expect my own to be treated with when I’m away. Your fur babies will be on a set schedule and have their own "staycation" when you travel.
Reviews
Lauren went above and beyond to help us out with Zamir’s drop-in visits and checking on our house while we were gone!
Lauren took great care of Buddy and was extremely accommodating!
Lauren is a total delight and she’s got a great setup for the dogs! Our two high energy pups came back played out and happy!
Lauren is terrific—I almost hate to post because she may get so in demand, we are shut out😊. She loves our duo and they love her. It is clear they get lots of exercize and attention because they come home content and exhausted!

I want to minimize your fur baby's stress while you’re away, while also distracting them from the fact that you're gone by incorporating their routine into our own. If they are accustomed to watching TV all day or going for a 5 mile run, that’s what we will do! We have pup-friendly spaces in every room of our house that allow for guest pups to zen out away from our own pack if they so desire.

Information Lauren H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know their history of vaccinations, medical needs, potential food allergies, and/or any events of aggression. I would love to know their full routine, favorite spots for a walk, and favorite treats.
A typical day
My goal is for your pet to stay safe and have fun in a super dog-friendly environment in our home. Exhausted pups are happy pups, so we wake up each day at 6am. We play in the backyard until breakfast at 9am (everyone eats separately to avoid potential food aggression). After everyone has breakfast, it's time to go back to the yard and play or take a nap. Once I have knocked out a few tasks for my travel business, we will take a walk around the neighborhood as a pack. During the afternoon, I knock out the majority of my work and let everyone nap around the house. Everyone will have dinner again at 7pm. Then it is time to throw the ball a few more times in the backyard and prep for bed. We will typically take another short walk after dinner (weather/energy-permitting).

Availability
Working from home on a flexible schedule allows me to take the best care of your creature and help them cope with separation anxiety. Since gaining new clients on Rover, my husband and I have developed a routine for when we have furry visitors. Everyone has their meals in separate rooms of our home, we go for a walk as a group (promotes pack bonding), hangout in the backyard, and then we start our day jobs. I have different areas setup for pets so they can distance themselves from other pups if needed.
