Hi I'm Lauren, I have a passion for working with dogs, and have 10 years of experience in the pet industry. I currently work managing a dog walking company, and have previous experience at dog daycares, boarding facilities, dog walking, and pet supply stores. I am also a certified veterinary assistant and have completed an internship at a vet office. I have done a lot of in home dog sitting throughout the years as a side job. I currently have two dachshunds. I live in a one bedroom apartment in Lakeview with my husband (who also loves dogs). I would be comfortable working with "problem" dogs, and administering medication. Most days I work from home. If I have to leave the house for work, I'm usually only gone for a couple hours. About this sitter: Hello, my name is Lauren and I love looking after peoples pets! I have 6 years of pet supply retail experience, 4 years of dog boarding/daycare experience, and going to 4 years of dog walking experience. (I usually work 2 jobs at once). I am also veterinary tech certified and have completed and internship at a vet office. Throughout working all these jobs, I have always done pet sitting on the side. Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. I started working at a pet supply store when I was 17 (10 years ago) and I knew from then on that I always wanted to work with animals. I have also worked at 3 different dog daycare and boarding facilities (4 years total), and a few other pet supply stores. I currently work as a dog walker in Chicago and I love it! I got my first dog Louie when I was 20, and I let everyone know that he is the love of my life! A few years later, my husband and I started fostering dogs. Our "foster failure" is Layla, who we adopted 5 years ago. Meet my pets I have a little turtle named Chaos! About my yard There is a small cement courtyard in the back of our building (would be good for playing fetch!), otherwise there is a lot of grass around our neighborhood where the dogs could go potty. There is also a small dog park down the street from my house. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medications of any kind. I am vet tech certified and have done a internship in a veterinary office.
