Pet care experience
I am new to this site, but I have had a strong bond with animals of all kinds throughout my life. I have lots of love and affection to give to your pets! My family and friends have relied on me to take care of their animals while on vacations or business trips because they know they are in good hands. I have owned two dogs (a lab and a golden) and have trained my golden retriever since she was a puppy. Since then I've been ready to take on any challenge. Health and fitness is my passion, and I love to run/hike/walk in nature or at the beach! If your dog is more relaxed, that works too! Whatever your preference, I'm happy to discuss with you further :)

She really engages with our dog, Audrey, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever. Audrey is always excited to see Lauren, and walks are not just walks, but playdates! Lauren has been around animals her entire life and has an incredible love for dogs. Her love and compassion that she has for people translates into her feelings for dogs. I have watched her care for her own dog, Sophie and also many other dogs. She is kind, patient, and loves to play and make the dog happy. She is also very responsible about the dogs safety and aware interactions with other dogs on walks. I give her my highest recommendation as a dog caregiver!

I live on the top of a very safe street and neighborhood, with a large two part backyard! I am minutes away from Santa Barbara's beautiful hikes, and a short drive to the nearest dog park and grass fields. I have one English cream golden retriever, but she gets along very easily with dogs (submissive or dominant) because she is a lover, not a fighter!

I would like to know if your dog has any anxieties with other animals/breeds to ensure that I am doing the best that I can to avoid uncomfortable situations for your pet. A happy dog means a happy owner, and I would like to discuss what I can do to create a great experience for you and your animal. I am happy to greet any animal, small or large, shy or jumpy, I don't discriminate! I have experience with golden retrievers/labs/cats/smaller mixed breeds and puppies. I am patient with shy dogs, but I also can match any high energy pooch! I am open to helping train younger dogs as well.
A typical day
I will take your dog outside often whether it be in the neighborhood on runs, walks, hikes, or whatever you're comfortable with. If your dog is older and needs shorter walks or extra care I am happy to accommodate!

Availability
I am available most days and have a very flexible schedule because I work from home! Sometimes I leave town to camp for a couple of days at a time when the weather is right, but I will be updating my availability every week!
