I’ve had and have loved caring for small dogs my entire life, from puppy days to geriatric care. My first dog lived for 19 years. I am comfortable caring for dogs at all stages, including administering medication. I treat every dog with the love and attention that I give my own dog. I’ve been leaving my dog in the care of Rovers for years and know how important it is to know your dog is in good hands. I’ve had some stellar experiences with sitters and unfortunately some very bad ones as well, so I joined as a sitter to help provide the care I always hope my dog is getting when I’m gone.

Lauren was amazing :) she accepted our somewhat last minute request for a couple of days of doggie day care and our anxious doggo did amazing with her. Lauren is sweet, kind, and communicative. Peanut seemed to do really well and was comfortable the entire time. It’s such a relief to have Lauren as a resource going forward and we’ll definitely be booking with her again! I live in a home on a quiet street of Berkeley with a private fully fenced backyard. I have a 7lb doodle who is very sweet and gives other dogs space when they wish, but loves to play with other dogs when they’re in the mood. To maintain a calm environment, I only take in one Rover dog at a time.

Please let me know if there is any special care to be aware of with your dog. I’ll be happy to tend to their needs! One behavior I need to avoid with dogs I sit is being excessively vocal as for respect of neighbors, I want to be conscious of sound. If you have a vocal dog, this is unfortunately not the spot for you. Thanks for understanding!
A typical day
This is a relaxed environment that is calm with some spurts of playtime and plenty of fresh air. I live a block from a park for pleasant walks.

I work a flexible schedule from home. Dogs in my care won’t ever be left in crates (unless requested) or alone— I’ll be around and available for walks, yard time, and park outings as it suits doggie guests. If I do ever need to leave for a short time, my partner is at home and he is equally doting.
