Remote Worker ready to pet and play

Pet care experience

Remote worker with a flexible schedule for when you need me. I've lived with multiple dogs over the years and have experience sitting for cats as well. I can stay at a house overnight during weekdays since my day job only requires a laptop, cell service, and Wifi. I've chosen lower rates because I want to be as accessible to clients as possible. The best way to show who I am is through my gentle and kind spirit. I want to make pets feel safe by providing comfort and play and anything else they might need throughout the day. I am a Christian and a huge nerd. I’ve always felt joy and fulfillment from helping other people around me. I’m thrilled to be working with Rover and meeting your pups! Thank you for checking out my profile.

Lauren is very reliable and pays attention to the small details. You can tell right away she has a very kind heart and loves animals. She made sure our elderly pug had everything he needed and cleaned up after him as needed. We truly appreciate her and would love to have her help us again!

I was reluctant to find Lauren to watch my dogs since I was traveling and just moved to Houston. She was extremely pleasant to work with and I do think my dogs loved being with her. I cannot provide a 5star review because when I got back home, my home smelled like urine. I’m an extremely clean person. With a home sitter, the dogs are taken out at least twice a day so I’m not sure of what happened or why it would have a strong urine smell. The dogs are both adults so they can hold themselves for longer periods of time. But with someone being home I am confused.

Lauren was amazing with our cat while we were out of town, we booked her for daily drop in visits. She sent daily pics and was great at communicating with us! She even stayed more than was supposed to, we’ll be booking with her again in the future!

Safety, trust & environment

I visit the client's home at agreed-upon times to provide care, companionship, and basic needs for the pets. I then follow the pet's daily routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any necessary medications. Ensure the pet's environment is clean and comfortable, including cleaning up after any messes. Spend quality time with the pet to prevent loneliness and boredom. Communicate with the pet owner about each visit, including updates on the pet's behavior and well-being.

Information Lauren H. would like to know about your pet

I like to get a sense of the animals personality, are they friendly and sociable with strangers, or does they tend to be more reserved or anxious? Does the dog or cats have any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions? Is the dog on any medication? If so, when and how should it be administered? What is the dog's usual feeding schedule, including portion sizes and any special dietary needs? When and how often does the dog need to be taken for walks, and how long are the walks typically? Does the dog have a preferred routine for playtime, naptime, and bathroom breaks? Are there any specific toys or activities that the dog enjoys? Are there any things that make the dog uncomfortable or scared (e.g., thunderstorms, loud noises, certain people or animals)?

A typical day

I offer a variety of types of play including fetch and interactive puzzle toys or treat-dispensing toys to keep the dog mentally stimulated. I also take the dog for walks in parks, nature trails, or just around the neighborhood Snuggle Time: I enjoy spending quality time cuddling and petting.
