Hello! My name is Lauren, and I grew up with dogs my whole life. I have two HIGH energy aussies, Bernie and Bettie, and they generally get along with other dogs but unfortunately not cats. I look forward to meeting your dog and I will treat them as though they are my own- which means lots of exercise and play! I am a Navy reservist and self-employed so I’ll be home a lot. My usual schedule involves a big walk/dog park in the morning followed by breakfast, another midday potty walk, an evening trip to the dog park for an hour and an evening walk, with some play time in between. While the dogs are with me, I will be working on my computer. Please advise on crating, dietary restrictions etc.

Lauren made me feel really comfortable leaving my dog with her. She was attentive and sent me pics throughout her stay. I know my dog was exercised during her stay. Definitely recommend.
Lauren took great care of my pup! She sent lots of photos and was sure to take him on plenty of hikes :) Her pups and mine got along well and kept each other busy — Couldn’t have asked for better care!

I have a small fenced yard for potties and live walking distance to several parks. Although Bernie can walk off-leash, I would never allow it outside of a dog park without your express permission, and in a safe area such as a state park, away from roads. We usually go to the baseball field 1-2 x per day for chuck-it throws, have another long walk, and 1-2 short walks or potty breaks per day.

I have some experience dealing with dog-aggressive/leash aggressive (not people aggressive) dogs; I will never approach another dog without permission or assessing the dynamics/body language of the dogs. Please advise me if he/she has any aggression issues, or if he/she requires special care. I love large dogs there is no upper limit.
A typical day
I like to take the hills with dogs, so a lot of long walks. Unfortunately due to a service -related back injury, I will not be able to take your pup for a run, but if allowed I will let him/her off leash at dog parks.

Availability
I am home a lot, but one weekend a month I have Navy drill and cannot take them with me- so they need to be able to go 8 hours without potty (I usually let them go more than 4, and I usually get a walker for when i’m out longer than that- but sometimes things happen) I live near a huge dog park, and I love to take Bernie and friends for a hike or to Point Isabel.
