Pet care experience
I have two little dogs and two cats of my own who I adore. The dogs aren't the best walkers so I have rented myself out in the past to neighbors to walk or run theirs! I have also been a pet sitter for family and friends across Texas when needed, even some with advanced medical needs so I am equipped and patient to deal with lots of animal types!

Lauren is amazing! She is a sweet, conscientious, loving person and we trust her completely with our fur babies. She is capable of medicating animals and is naturally warm and affectionate with them. We've had her come and stay at our home and care for our pets on two separate occasions when we were on vacation. She sent us random updates and photos and was always responsive when we reached out. I highly recommend her as someone who will take care of your family members with the same love and attention that you would.
Lauren is the best! She stayed with our 3 cats for a week, enabling my wife and I to take a long-deserved vacation. Leaving Lauren in charge of the cats let us focus on relaxing and having a great time. Our cats are very demanding, with a rigorous feeding schedule and medication requirements. Lauren was able to keep everyone fed on time and was able to give the medication (pills and syringe squirts) without trouble. The cats loved her and bonded with her. We're planning our next vacation and Lauren will be our first call!

As I have been a pet sitter in other homes, I think the best way to decrease the stress of mom and dad being away is to keep your animals in their own environment. I have been a pet sitter in others' homes, and I am more than happy to keep up with cleaning around the house as needed so you're able to come back worry-free!

Please let me know any behavioral tendencies of your dog such as if they frequently jump up on others, pull the leash, etc. Also, let me know any specific walking, running, or other exercise preferences for your dog! Specific routes or places they like to go would be great.
A typical day
I personally love running and walking around Hermann Park, Rice, and Memorial Park! Buffalo Bayou is also great during the cooler months. Although I'm not the best at frisbee, if your dog loves it, I'll learn!

Availability
I will be starting as a medical student in August here in Houston. I am free on the weekends in addition to early mornings throughout the week or in the afternoons on Thursday and Friday. I can't think of better therapy to step away from the stress of school than being outside with dogs!
