Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Lauren and I have loved working with animals from a young age. I've volunteered in multiple different shelters, been a dog walker and sitter many times, grew up having dogs of my own, and then fostered dogs during Quarantine…one of which I adopted! I got to spend her retirement years with her, and she recently passed away. Having her gave me a love for senior dogs, but I now have a quiet apartment without her - this is why I would love to open my home to dog-sit for others at this time. I know how important it is to feel that your pet is safe and comfortable when you are away! I'm a compassionate and gentle person that will treat your pup with the same amount of love and attention as you. I am detail-oriented and will want to make sure I know everything necessary to make your pet’s stay as smooth as possible for the boarding. I will also send picture updates so can feel secure that they are doing well! If you have a small dog, I still have a lot of dog items from my previous dog (beds, bowls, car seats, etc.), so you can save some room with packing if you choose. Chester loves Lauren!!!!
Chester loves Lauren! (And her couch). Lauren took great of my pup the week I was gone. She kept me updated with photos, kept Chester entertained and comfortable in her home. Chester is a very stubborn bully and Lauren was very accommodating and nurturing! I will definitely be recommending her to friends and family :)
Lauren was amazing! Needed a last minute spot for doggy sitting cause my original plans fell through. Gave her a ton of info for my 2 senior oldies and she listened well and took notes and asked us great questions as well as sent photos of my dogs everyday they were in her car. 😭❤️ My dogs were happy and content with her considering one of them has major trust issues but was willing to walk with Lauren, which says something about her beautiful soul. I would recommend Lauren over and over and over again
Lauren was great and very detail oriented! She sent me daily updates on Zara with pictures. She was very responsive and made sure to ask all the right questions to ensure Zara’s proper care. Zara is looking forward to her next stay with the Lauren!

I live in a quiet 3 bedroom apartment/condo that is gated and secured. I have one roommate that did great with my dog and will be loving to your pet as well. She is a teacher and gone during the day. I will be the caretaker for your pet, and they will sleep in my room with me. Our 3rd room is an office. The apartment is carpeted, so dogs must be potty-trained (an occasional accident is of course okay!). Dogs are welcome on the furniture, I usually don’t have them sleep directly with me in bed, but exceptions can be made and I also can put their dog bed on my bed if they want to be close to me. We have a patio with a grass pad they can go potty on, or there is a designated spot in my apartment complex for them to use the restroom. The surrounding neigborhood is great for walks as well!

Information Lauren G. would like to know about your pet
The more details to know about your pup, the better. :) To start, I would love to know their schedule ( feeding times, how often they need to be let out/walks, max time you leave them home alone, etc). How they are with adults, kids, other dogs (any reactivity issues, etc)? Where do they like to sleep/relax (dog bed, furniture, human bed, etc). I would love to make their stay as comfortable as possible!
A typical day
Any dog friend that stays with me is free to lay by me as I work, and I can let them out and give them walks, whatever their normal routine entails. My favorite park nearby is LA Historic Park, it is a great place to bring pups if you think your dog will like that as well! I have some toys and a lick pad as well that will be clean and ready for them to use if you choose.

I work a hybrid job, so I will need to be out of the house at times. However, I do not work in an office 9-5 so your pet would not be alone 8+ hours a day. I have some control and flexibility over my schedule, so lets discuss your pets needs and see what we can make work! There are days that I am working from home all day. Your pet is welcome to hangout with me in the office when I am working from home or wherever they feel most comfortable in the apartment. :)
