Pet care experience
Grew up with our beloved beagle, Zach and am the current dog-mom to a two year old golden retriever, Roland. Experience with fostering dogs/puppies, working with Copper's Dream out of Redwood City. I am a stay at home mom with plenty of time for walks and play. My husband also works from home so the dogs aren't left alone for more then an hour or two should we need to run out for errands or an appointment. Large fenced backyard for your doggo to run around while playing with our friendly 2 year old golden Retriever, Roland. In the home we are free range with dogs allowed on the couch etc. We have a large crate available if requested for your dogs sleep routine.

I highly recommend Lauren and David for any sitting needs you might have, I'm sure they could handle just about any situation. They listened to everything on my (somewhat long, helicopter parent) care list, even suggesting a few things I'd forgotten. Being parents they are very cool and capable in any situation, and despite two dogs and a toddler running around, with the holidays coming up and bad weather on the way, their house always seemed very peaceful and not chaotic. They made sure Twist felt secure and had places to be by herself, and she settled in really well especially considering she and I hadn't been separated hardly at all for the last 2 years of quarantine. She ate every meal and enjoyed her walks :) Roland is a big goofball and was excited but mindful of Twist's space and was good at calming himself down and being gentle - despite the size difference they got along very well, and Lauren and David were very attentive when they were together so there were no problems at all.

A typical day
We are located just four blocks from Alameda's coastal walkway. We love to start the day out with a long walk after breakfast then play in the backyard. If your dog is active and is used to running on a leash, my husband likes the company on his evening run - if not we take another walk throughout the neighborhood. On weekends and cooler days in the summer we take the dogs to Oakland hills or Albany Bulb for hiking.
