Home away from home!

Pet care experience

I have over a decade of experience dog sitting for friends and family and I never met a dog I haven’t fallen in love with. I had taken some time off from dog sitting after the birth of my son last year and now ready to jump back into it! My full time job allows me to work mostly from home or at least stay local when I do have to be out and about. I am a home-body so I enjoy just hanging out around the house and the yard with the pups! My home is a single family house with a fenced quarter acre yard (4 foot fence) - plenty of room to run around. I do have my own dog pack (two huskies and a teacup poodle) and a young son (3.5 year old). I would prefer a meet-and-greet prior to new confirmed appointments to ensure everyone will be happy!

Lauren & her family always take great care of our old bulldog. They even put up with his snoring!! We know he is safe hands with Lauren!

Lauren was amazing! She sent pictures throughout the weekend to let us know our dog was doing well. Comet got along very well with her dogs. He was very tired from all the fun playing he did over the weekend! I love that there is a fenced-in yard for the dogs to play in. We will definitely be asking Lauren to board Comet again!

Lauren was great with my Suki girl! She was very responsive and sent sweet pictures of my girl enjoying her stay with them.

Lauren is always my #1 dog-sitting choice! Bentley loves playing with Sully, Sasha, and Simon (and all of their toys). She has a great backyard for romping, chasing, or just hanging out in the baby pool. I know that Bentley is not just being looked after, but he is truly being cared for and welcomed as a part of their 'pack' every time he's there! Lauren is very much a dog-person, and it shows in the connection she forms with every dog she meets. And, she works from home so that means lots of extra quality time for the pups. Any dog that stays with Lauren and her pack is guaranteed to have a safe, fun time!

Information Lauren D. would like to know about your pet

A dog staying with us must be dog and kid friendly in order to mesh with our pack. Must not have a high prey drive as my teacup poodle is only 5 pounds.

A typical day

I am a relatively early riser (thanks to my 2- and 4-legged children) so early potty breaks soon followed by breakfast are the norm. My backyard is large enough for running around - I do not take dogs for walks during a stay due to the quantity of dogs with my own pack. After I drop my son off at daycare, I am back home to work - which is ideal for frequent potty breaks as needed. After work and son pick up is usually more hanging around the house, inside and out until dinner time/night time routine.
