Saving for a dog of my own!
Pet care experience
I helped train my family dog when I was little and have helped take care of her since! She’s now 14 years old and has some more care requirements, it’s been so special taking care of Daisy from a puppy to a senior. As a teenager I did drop in visits for our neighbor’s dog who had a number of health problems and could be quite difficult, so I have plenty of experience with less than easy dogs. I have experience bathing, feeding, walking, and getting both dogs to take medication. My friends and family know me as someone who loves dogs and I’ll bring that to any dog I help to care for!

Information Lauren D. would like to know about your pet
I would like to understand the dogs typical routine. This is to make sure I don’t take them out of their comfort zone while they have some fun. I’d like to know their medications, physical abilities, how often they are with people and around new people, and where their favorite spot for some pets are!
A typical day
I love playtime and walks, getting that energy out and letting them be goofy for a while. I’ve played a lot of fetch and given a lot of belly rubs! I know how much dogs love a new location to walk in so I would definitely try to take them to parks or along the Charles River where the scents are always changing.

Availability
I am working part-time for a local non-profit so my schedule is quite flexible. I am also a Brandeis student so I have plenty of time during the day throughout the year to take breaks for a walk or to go check in on a dog!
