Family care is my full-time job. When I'm with your fur babies, they are my primary concern. I worked at a kennel during summers and holidays for four years and have hosted dogs in my home before, but I find they are most comfortable staying in their own homes and sticking to their usual schedule. Non-smoking homes only please. I'm allergic. I love exercising and reading, so if your dog loves running or just cuddling, I'm there! For active dogs we can visit the dog park, go hiking, or check out Pearl Brewery's farmers market. For calmer dogs we can read, watch movies, and just keep each other company. I also have experience with cats and exotics, including turtles, snakes, lizards, rodents, and birds. I have four dogs, four cats, three box turtles, and a betta fish. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. Mine range in size from a chihuahua to a Great Dane. Special Story: When we got Luke, our Beagle mix, we were just looking for a couch on Craigslist. We went to pick up the couch and this little red devil got out of the yard to say hello. My husband said he was beautiful and the owner offered him to us. Well, after getting him safely in the car (he decided to run down the street first), we brought him home. I made a vet appointment and we found out he was heartworm positive. After many months, a few vet appointments, and a lot of tender care, I am happy to say he is heartworm free and a very happy and healthy boy!
