Pet care experience
I love spending time with dogs and love to help out when furry friends need looking after! I am very active, and take my own dog on two long walks a day (sometimes a run). My apartment is dog-friendly. I grew up with two golden retrievers and now have a pup of my own named Blu - he was a rescue found wandering around the Mexican border and somehow made his way up to Ontario and into my home. He was originally a foster dog, but a few days into having him, I decided I wouldn't be able to let him go. I am a Registered Nurse, so I only accept clients when I am not working my shifts- this means that I can spend the most time with your fur baby and ensure they are safe, happy, and well cared for!

Lauren was absolutely amazing with Maui. My pup had so much fun olaying with her dog and Lauren provided alot of updates throughout the day. I plan on using lauren again in the near future :)
Lauren did a fabulous job dogsitting for the weekend. She has an easygoing and friendly personality that is perfectly suited to taking care of dogs, and kept us updated with lots of photos and videos. Would highly recommend!!

I love to know the energy level and temperament of a dog beforehand so I have some idea of what to expect. Additionally, it helps to know what motivates them - i.e. if they are treat driven, etc.
A typical day
I love walking by the canal and all around Ottawa. I also love running and usually run by the canal. I am happy to take a furry running buddy along with me. My own dog, Blu is very playful so if your pup likes to play, hopefully they can expend some energy and tire each other out! If your pup doesn't love to play with other high energy dogs, that's okay too - Blu is quick to learn when other dogs aren't interested in playing and he'll leave them alone or curl up and nap with them.
