I am new to Rover because my partner, our husky, and I could really use some company to cheer us up, keep us young, and walk with us for our 2 mile nightly walks. At the start of 2021, we lost two of our furry family members (our 15 year old lab to a stroke and 12 year old out mix to cancer) within 3 days. Our husky has since refused to walk since their passing. I work full-time at home while attending online courses for my PhD, but recently l lost my funding due to covid and decided I would continue my pursuit and find the additional money myself. I am responsible, professional, and eager to watch over your best friend and family member. I can take your dog for a extended bathroom break, long run, or a long walk around the neighborhood. We have a dog-proof, single-story home with a fenced in yard and a doggy door for access at any time of the day. I have experiences with a variety of canine personalities due to family member's pets and my own dogs over the years. I enjoy the challenge my husky presents regarding his stubbornness with training. I am much like my dog - some see it as being stubborn, but I see it as persistence and patience! As an avid ice hockey player, I also enjoy taking dogs to skate (with permission and sensitivity, of course!)
