I grew up with dogs and have always loved working with animals! I volunteer at the Alameda Animal Shelter as a way to give back to my community and getting extra animal time. I have two sweet rescue dogs who took some time adapting to a new home life. I'm familiar with all sorts of behavior problems, shyness, anxiety, fear -- but the most rewarding part is seeing them blossom, grow and learn to love! I truly love all types of dogs (big, small, and all sizes in between), and enjoy dogs of all energy levels and personalities. Whether they are up for a run or fast-paced walk or a leisurely stroll and lots of sniffing, I will follow their energy. I will treat your dogs like my own and welcome them into my warm, happy, dog-loving family!

It was great
As an owner of two rescue dogs, Lauren knows the ins and outs of taking good care of dogs, including walking them. Not only does she have first-hand experience with walking dogs but Lauren is also very organized, thoughtful, and trustworthy. She has had to balance multiple classes, part time jobs, and dog walking for many years and I am always impressed at her ability to keep herself on task and organized. Previously Lauren has also been a staff member in one of the houses on Stanford's campus where she had to build a community with people of all different backgrounds. This experience has left her well prepared to deal all types of dog personalities.
