I've been regularly dog-sitting for friends and family for about 15 years -- Spending time with and caring for dogs are truly some of my favorite things in life. I'm comfortable with any breed, all ages, and have experience with small, medium and large dogs.

Lauren is so sweet and jumped in to care for our pup when plans changed last minute. She was quick to respond, sent lots of photos and updates, and clearly cares a lot about dogs. Look forward to using her services again!
Lauren was so great with our somewhat anxious little pittie mix. She has a kind and calming presence and we felt confident he was in good hands. She was communicative and a pleasure to work with. We hope we’ll be able to leave Oates with her again!
Lauren takes such great care of our pup. He’s always excited to see her and gets everything he needs and also 1:1 dedicated company during his vacations with Lauren. She’s super responsive to messages and requests and sends cute pics :)
Lauren was wonderful with Fiona! Fiona is often unsure in new environments, but Lauren did a great job paying attention to my detailed instructions and helping Fiona feel comfortable. She seemed to be right at home from the photos and updates Lauren sent. Lauren was also great with communication and paid close attention to her medication and feeding regimen. We will definitely book Lauren again in the future! :)

I have a cozy, two-bedroom apartment in the quiet, residential area of North Capitol Hill (technically Stevens area). My living room has very large windows that let a beautiful amount of light in. Dogs I’ve looked after in the past love to gaze out my front window and watch passersby while sunbathing. As for furniture, I'm very easy-going with it, it’s meant to be nestled in :) Your pet is more than welcome to lounge on my sectional or take a nap in my bed. I live a handful of blocks away from numerous parks: Volunteer, Miller, Homer Harrison, Seven Hills, Cal Anderson, etc.

Are there any behavioral problems that are important to note? Is your dog a loud or frequent barker? (I always ask this to make sure I'm considering my neighbors)
A typical day
There are many open grass parks nearby to run and play fetch (Volunteer, Cal Anderson, Miller, Seven Hills, Homer Harrison etc.) I’m an active person so I'm more than happy to help your dog get some exercise. If there are specific things your dog likes (playing at the beach, extra belly rubs etc.), just let me know and I'm happy to make it happen!
