My love for animals started from a very young age. There's not a time in my life that I can recall when I didn't have a pet; my home was always full of animal love from dogs, to cats, to hamsters, to birds and the occasional horse on the farm. I got my first pet when I was 6, Gretel, she was an Airedale Terrier, full of life! I assisted my parents in the training process with her. It wasn't long after that we had a Norwegian Elkhound in the mix too, Mr. Elliot. When I was 14 I rescued 3 cats from our Church parking lot, my family ended up keeping 2, while the Vet Tech kept the other kitten. My true love is a little Papillon named Lilly, who just turned 12; I adopted her when she was about 4 months old and she is the light of my life. Throughout the years and after returning from college my friends and co-workers would ask me to watch their dogs/dog sit; whether that be staying overnight with the dog(s) or just dropping by in the morning, at lunch and in the evening. This would also include taking the dog(s) on walks, which I love to do too. I have worked with and watched a variety of different breeds and size of dogs. The breed and size of the dog(s) do not scare me one bit. I have also assisted my friend with taking his Bernese Mountain dog, who is a therapy dog, to nursing homes. I have always truly connected with dogs; they are drawn to me, listen to me and mostly love on me! I love being around animals, taking care of them, and ensuring they are safe and happy.
