I Just Love Dogs!
Pet care experience
My family had dogs while I was growing up and I got my Bichon when I was 12. He passed away at 16 years old and lived a good, long life. As a pet sitter, I've cared for many different dogs and cats. I'm particularly good with, well, particular pets. I dog-sat for two Italian Greyhounds, one who was skittish when I would first arrive, but I gave her space and eventually she would come sit with me for pets. I also dog-sat for two Dachshunds, one who had seemingly endless energy, and his brother was super picky about humans. I learned to give him time and patience and eventually I became one of his favorite people. I just love dogs, but can't have one right now, so I'd love to spend some time helping you care for yours!

Lauren is a responsible and impressively mature young woman. I worked with her for several years between her Bachelors and Masters degrees and she sat for my dogs in my home when needed. Lauren was my Dog Nanny for two years. I trusted her with "my boys" and my home. I knew when Lauren was on the clock she took care of them like they were her own. I would get pictures texted to me of them that would melt my heart. It was a loss to my family when Lauren moved out of North Carolina. I am not surprised that Lauren is applying to be one of your loving dog caregivers. She will spoil your baby like she did mine.
Lauren has stayed with our standard poodle Eloise many times. Eloise is difficult for dog sitters, she is suspicious and fearful with people she doesn't know well. Lauren handles her perfectly and is one of the few people we trust to walk her. She knows and loves dogs and is very trustworthy.
Lauren stayed in my home with my 2 elderly dogs for 8 days and nights. She did a superb job. Gracie and Rufus were calm and happy when I got home and I know it's because of her. I lived in a high rise apartment and I know it was a lot of work to deal with my 2 little grouchy pups going out 4 times a day! She was there on time and put up with me having the wrong return date for myself! She is friendly, funny, conscientious, and reliable. I could not recommend her more highly.
