Canine to Five with Laurel Anne

Pet care experience

About Me: Hello! My name is Laurel Anne. I have been around animals all of my life. I have had a black lab-german shepherd mix, 2 parakeets, a chinchilla, a hamster, a guinea pig and a small lizard, just to name a few. I currently have a toy poodle and a cat at home. I can pet sit for any of these types of animals listed above. In the past, I have worked as a bather in a grooming salon for more than 7 years and have experience working with dogs both large and small. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 13 years and it's the best job I've ever had! I have also volunteered to wash rescue dogs at large pet events so that they can be adopted into loving homes. I believe that animals should be treated as family members and with respect. This is also one of the many reasons that I support the idea of your pet being boarded at your own home where they feel the safest. I have my own car for reliable transportation and a crate for small animals in the event of an veterinary emergency. I do ask that you provide your vet's information when we meet in person. I also have experience administering oral and topical medications on cats and dogs. I have recently been trained by a certified veterinary technician on how to give insulin shots to dogs with diabetes. Please provide specific veterinary instructions. (To be taken with or without food...etc.) I have a lot of experience working with seniors and disabled dogs as well. Dogs with the following characteristics I WILL NOT pet sit for: Dogs with separation anxiety and aggression. SERVICES: Please note! I charge by the DAY, not "NIGHT". I do pet sitting in my client's homes. For the safety of my own pets, I do not offer boarding in my house. Please, also be aware that I pet sit for multiple clients at a time and your dog will not be supervised 24/7. That being said, I will always make sure that your pet is safe, has been fed and has gone potty before I leave. $35 is my base rate for clients that are 10 minutes and under from my house. The maximum distance I can manage in my day to day schedule is a 15 minute drive to my client's home. If you are over 10 minutes away from my house, I charge $10 extra per day for gas. If your animal requires medicine to be administered, I charge a $5 extra fee per day. If medicine needs to be given to more than one animal I charge $10 extra per day. PET SITTING/CHECK-INS Pet sitting services include: *Feeding & fresh water *Waste clean-up *5 minute to 60 minute walk depending on your dogs needs *Oral/Topical/Injection medication *Bringing in the mail/newspaper/packages/flyers *Turning porch lights on & off *Taking trash bins in & out on trash day *One on one playtime & socialization *Brushing (if requested) *Daily photo updates! I check-in with my clients every day to let them know how their pets are doing. Not only are they fun to get, it is fun for me to take pictures of your pets. They turn out so cute. Earning the trust of my clients as well as your pets is very important to me. DOG WALKING I also provide dog walking services. Please ask me about my rates! Referrals and happy reviews are welcomed and appreciated.

Ms. Laurel is the kindest soul you could ever wish for to tend to your pets while you are apart from them. She not only is professional, even tidying up and taking care of the day to day business with animal supervising, but she genuinly loves helping our furry family members not miss their owners for a bit. The pictures she sends will prove how well adjusted and content they are in her loving company. She even got our cat Raffi to pose and join in on the fun. I highly recommend calling on Laurel.

Laurel Anne is the best pet sitter, ever. Not only is she kind and gentle, but she's reliable and honest. She sent us numerous pics of our furry babies while in her care, and in each photo they were relaxed and happy. We came home to a clean home, too! I've known Laurel for almost three years and was heartbroken when we moved away and she could no longer sit for us. I never worried at all with her. I recommend her 100%!

Laurel did a fantastic job of staying in our home to take care of our 5 dogs. She was very responsible in administering numerous medications to 2 our dogs and also learned how to administer insulin injections. She texted us photos and kept us posted on how all were doing. Laurel also watered our plants and kept the house in great shape. It was so nice to return to a clean home. We will definitely use Laurel again and highly recommend her. She is a very sweet person.

Information Laurel B. would like to know about your pet

*Socialization -I need to know that your dog is friendly and that when I come over to care for them, they will greet me with a smile and not a growl. *Any medical information: -Up to date on shots/vacinations - Veterinary contact number and location -Medications that need to be taken (oral or topical) - Any physical issues to watch for like seizures, blindness, any kind of wound I should be aware of, like a cut or scab *Walks: -Any triggers that would make them bark or pull like other dogs, mailman, UPS etc. *Separation anxiety: -Dogs will panic, run or hide and for safety reasons I need to know this in advance. *Anything else that I haven't listed here that you would like me to know.

A typical day

My dog sitting style is very relaxed. I like to make sure that your dog or cat is comfortable being around me and sometimes that takes a little time, but they do warm up to me and look forward to my visits. I am known for going above and beyond what is asked of me, especially when it comes to cleaning up after your pet. If I see anything wrong that you would need to know about, I take a picture and send it/show it to you so that you are aware. I treat my client's pet like they are my own. And I am a firm believer that your family members should be treated with love and respect. I also like to send daily updates/photos as well to make sure that you feel comfortable with me taking care of your baby. I have taken in mail and turned porch lights on/off for clients as well to make sure that your house looks "lived in" while you are away. The more specific you are with what your pet's needs are the better I can make the both of you happy.
