I think Laura's intentions are good, but she made a series of poor decisions which affected my dog's health, safety and Laura's happiness and it became very distressful for me while I was on a really big vacation and work trip (40th bday and PhD graduation). I got a picture with my dog and a pile of trash which contained a ton of good food like peanut butter and other snacks. Of course a dog will destroy a bag of trash. My dog was then locked in a bathroom and destroyed a door probably because she knew other dogs were not locked up. The stories kept changing from Laura and the messages were very unprofessional and borderline harassing. I said I would look into the reimbursement process *after* my vacation because I did not have reliable cell service. But then again the stories kept changing regarding what she wanted me to pay for. So I still don't know what is going on here. She then withheld a bunch of my dog's stuff when my dog was transferred to another sitter. When I asked about my dog's stuff she immediately said "are you going to pay me?" That is beyond unprofessional to hold my dog's stuff hostage. She never responded after that. I think in this case there was a lot of negligence on the sitter's part. My dog is currently at another sitter and I haven't heard anything bad and she's had plenty of sitters in the past. I agree that I have no clue why my dog did not click with Laura and I'm not saying Laura is a bad person but in this case, there were a lot of bad decisions here. I'm really sad that this ended the way it did. It was a pretty traumatic experience to be honest and will make me reconsider who I choose in the future. I do appreciate Laura's willingness to help last minute and try to help for a long period.

Laura was great! Really appreciated her caring for our cat while we were out of town for a few days
