Pet care experience
I've been taking care of animals since I was a child. I started with cats, then dogs. I began pet sitting in high school and after high school continued through college. After college I worked in a 24 hour veterinary hospital where I attended to the needs of sick and injured animals. I currently reside in Wisconsin, having moved from Illinois in the last couple years. My range is 30 miles, but I'm willing to go further. Keep in mind my prices will go up if I drive far distances- to account for gas. I *WILL* work with peoples budgets. If you need an adjustment, that is absolutely okay. We'll work out a fair price that works for us both. I am flexible.*

Professional and accommodating!! Laura provided lots of updates, we felt very comfortable having her in our home with our pets while we were out of town.
Laura watched our 20 month old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog for 4 days/nights. Everything went well and we thought Maple got exceptional care. Laura was very organized and communicated great about how things were going with Maple and our home. She even was kind enough to buy Maple some peanut butter for her Kong treats when she realized we were out at home. We would book Laura again to care for our dog and home in a heartbeat.

I’ve known Laura for a very long time and since the day I met her she’s been a sweet, kind and caring person. She loves her animals more than anything else on the planet. She’s even loved my animals as if they were her own. I’ve trusted her with taking care of them when I’m out of town and now they absolutely love her. She works with animals and treats them the way anyone should treat a living creature. She understands that some of us treat our pets as if they were our children and does whatever she can do go above and beyond.

I do not sit for pets in my own home at this time as I have animals myself who may get stressed. Caring for pets in a client's home is absolutely welcome. I will keep your home cleaner than my own. If your pet has occasional accidents in the home, I'm happy to clean the space. I have a carpet cleaning vacuum and if requested I am happy to use it to clean your carpets, just let me know if that's the service or additional service you'd like. Any care details you may have, please let me know. I treat all pets like my own and you can rest easy knowing they are with someone responsible. If I have questions myself, I will ask them so I can best care for your pets needs.

I don't have breed preferences, but I do want to know whether or not a dog has anything that might upset them. I will need a list of any allergies, medications, or special care instructions. You can be as thorough as you want to be; I understand the love people have for their pets and will follow your instructions to the best of my abilities.
A typical day
We'll stick to whatever neighborhood we're in. While sitting for a pet I make sure to keep them active and entertained with toys, but if they prefer a cat nap in the sun I'll be right there with them. If your pet does anything that deviates from the norm, I will immediately inform. *Dogs are leashed at all times outside. I no longer accept unleashed dogs.
