Pet care experience
I know that leaving your pets behind can be worrisome so my goal is to give you peace of mind so that you can enjoy your time away…I will send as many photos and updates as you can stand! I've been a dog/cat owner and lover since I was little and now that the human kids are gone, the pets have become my fur kids! I've also been volunteering at local shelters (Sacramento City, Elk Grove, Sacramento SPCA) as a dog walker/cat socializer and foster parent for the last 20+ years. All of our pets have been rescues so I definitely have a soft spot for them. I feel comfortable with all breeds and can handle most behavioral issues and even help with training/correcting if you'd like. I am also experienced in giving medications.

It was great having Laura come and check in on my cats while I was away. We were able to arrange a meet up beforehand so she could get to know them. She sent pictures and videos of my cats so I could see how they were doing. I had no concerns about them while I was on my trip. I've lived in Elk Grove for over 30 years so am familiar with the local parks and dog parks, veterinary facilities and animal shelters. For home visits, in addition to feeding and watering I can walk your dog, take them to the park, or just play in the back yard and even help with training. I will also clean up after them if needed. For cats I will feed, water, brush, play, clean litter boxes, etc. Just let me know what you would like me to do and I will do it!

A typical day
When visiting your pups I will play, walk, feed, water, pick up after them. If you want me to take them to the park or help with training I can do that too...whatever you like! For cats I’ll do the same (but no park ?) and clean the litter box(es).

I'm an empty nester and work from home so my schedule is very flexible. I am fine with a set schedule or an on-call, as-needed basis and can usually accommodate last minute requests.
