Your Dog will be treated as my own!

Pet care experience

I work full time from home as a Director of Business Development, but my passion is loving and caring for animals. I’ve worked and cared for dogs my entire life! I volunteer at local animal shelters and have fostered dogs of all sizes and shapes. My family includes 8 rescues, and I’ve had the opportunity to care and love each one over the years. I’m an avid hiker and runner, and love to share my life and adventures with the animals in it. My dog is professionally trained and has helped tens of dogs socialize though foster programs and get adopted. I treat every animal I encounter with patience, love and understanding. I’ve professionally dog sat through my entire college life! I can’t wait to meet your dog(s) and treat them as they were my own. Each dog and dog parent is different and it’s my responsibility to understand the needs of each person and their companion to provide the best and safest experience.

Laura was fantastic with my dogs. She was very accommodating with a short-notice booking over the Christmas holiday, and flexible with drop off and pickup times. I appreciated the involved meet and great where my dogs were able to meet her dog, and she asked extensive questions about my boys' care.

We booked Laura for a week long visit while we were out of the country, we did so MONTHS in advance to ensure we had someone reliable and she canceled on us at the VERY last minute a week before our trip. Her cancellation left us with a huge financial burden and a very short amount of time to find suitable boarding for our dog. Completely unexcusable.

Information Laura S. would like to know about your pet

Volunteering at various animal shelter has given me a wide range of experience with all shapes, sizes, temperaments and personalities. A dogs personality is just as unique as our own, everyone has their likes and dislikes and being away from home can be stressful. It would be very helpful to know what environmental and interaction makes your pup feel at home, how do they like being comforted because they’ll be missing you like crazy. My job is to make it a mini vacation for them and make sure there’s not a moment of stress for you or for them, making it an experience they’ll look forward too if we get the opportunity to host your pup again! I do need to know if your companion has any allergies, my home is filled with healthy treats of all kinds and I will only give your pup what he or she can have. I also cherish happy and positive experiences so if your pup has any fears I want to stay away from those and make their experience and relaxing and comfortable as possible.

A typical day

I’m an early bird, your pup will get an early morning potty break and walk around the neighborhood! Mid day I usually take a break from work and go out again for some well deserved sunlight with your pup, there’s a very cute dog park in my neighborhood that’s usually pretty empty allowing one on one play time. If you and your pup are okay with car rides we might run some errands and grab some pupuccinos (with mom/dads permission) depending on your feeding schedule we might have a late lunch or early dinner. Stimulation is so important so when the sun is closer to setting we will be doing another 30 minute walk to burn off some energy! Last potty break before a quiet and comfortable evening with a frozen peanut butter Kong.
