Pet care experience

I have 4+ years of experience volunteering at the animal shelter and 2+ years of experience working as a veterinary clinic manager, and have worked as a veterinary assistant when we've been short-staffed. I have experience with administering medication, as well as walking dogs up to 65lbs, and general care of pets.

Having trusting Laura with the care of my cat, Maki, I am writing to express my absolute recommendation for her as a pet sitter. During a recent weekend, when Maki needed special attention due to illness, Laura's commitment and compassion went above and beyond all expectations. All interactions were defined by Laura's dedication to detail and genuine love for animals. She took the time to offer Maki additional comfort and company in addition to seeing to it that she quickly received the medication that was prescribed. I received frequent updates and pictures, which helped me rest easy knowing Maki was in good hands. Laura is to be recognized for her thoughtfulness and responsible handling of pet care. She went above and beyond, seeing to Maki's physical requirements as well as ensuring that she was taken care of emotionally. It is obvious that Laura cares for every animal as if it were her own. Look no further than Laura if you need a trustworthy, kind, and committed pet sitter. She is completely capable, and I wouldn't think twice about leaving her with Maki's care in the future again.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Laura care for my beloved furry friends, and I can't recommend her enough! Laura is an exceptional pet caregiver who goes above and beyond to ensure that your pets are happy, healthy, and loved. Throughout the entire pet-sitting experience, Laura demonstrated a high level of responsibility and attentiveness. She followed all feeding schedules meticulously, administered medications when needed, and provided regular updates on their well-being. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away knowing that my pets were in such capable hands. What truly sets Laura apart is her genuine love for animals. It's evident in the way she interacts with them with patience, kindness and affection. She took the time to engage in playtime, long walks, and even some extra cuddle sessions, which meant the world to my pet and to me! Laura's professionalism and reliability also stood out. She was prompt in her communication, flexible with scheduling, and left my home in impeccable condition. It's clear that she takes her role seriously and treats every pet as if they were her own. If you're in search of a responsible and loving pet caregiver, look no further than Laura. I have full confidence that she will provide you with the same exceptional care she provided to me.

Laura is honestly one of the sweetest caretakers I've ever hired. My cat is a bit mean to new people but somehow, she was super friendly towards Laura immediately. I cannot give her enough praise for how incredible she is.

Information Laura S. would like to know about your pet

Please give me detailed instructions as to where the food and any toys/medications are. Let me know if there is a specific park or place nearby they like to go. Let me know any specific behaviors that they have, if there's anything I should avoid (eg: touching ears or paws) and if there's any specific toy/game they love.

A typical day

I would drop by before I go to work and after (between 6-8am and 6-9pm, take the dog(s) out on a 15-20 min walk around the neighborhood, if there's a park nearby or a backyard I would play with them and make sure to get as much energy out. Then I would feed them, refill their water bowl and administer any medications. If needed I can also brush their coats and let them settle down before I leave.
