Pet care experience
I was born and raised around doggies. I live in SW and its a doggie heaven around here. The parks are plentiful and the area is very welcoming to our furry family! Lola, my three y.o., terrier mix and I live comfortably in a coop community. We enjoy a lovely run most mornings and long walks in the afternoon & evenings. We love hiking, playing fetch & tug. We acknowledge and appreciate a regular routine each day. There is a lot of love, praise, toys & treats to go around. Our building is safe and secure as well. I will care for & love your baby as I do my own.

Laura is unequivocally a dog lover! I know her to be trustworthy, loyal and compassionate. She is really good at anticipating a dogs needs and will go out of her way to insure their happiness & safety.
Rooney loved her visit with Laura and Lola while her pawrents were out on a dinner cruise! She had such a great time and was totally exhausted on the way home!
Laura has always been great taking care of our 14 year old yorkie, Henry. Our dogs seem to get along and have a good time. We've used Laura a few times and always a good experience. Thanks Laura!
BEWARE- totally unreliable and will cancel at a moment's notice! I'm afraid I absolutely cannot recommend Laura as a pet-sitter as I would not want anyone to have to experience what I did this past weekend. My girlfriend and I hired her to watch our dog, Hank over the Christmas holiday weekend while we were planning to travel to Florida. We had a meet and greet where she and her dog, Lola, met Hank and we all walked together for a while. Afterward, Laura enthusiastically agreed to watch Hank and we agreed upon a drop-off time. On the day of my departure to Florida, I dropped Hank off and Laura assured me he was in good hands. Upon landing in Florida about four hours later, I received a text message from Laura claiming that Hank wasn't behaving himself and that we needed to arrange a backup. Apparently he grabbed a toy from her "too aggressively" and that when she threw the toy in the closet, Hank chased after it, running into her closet knocking things down. We were completely shocked, as Hank has never met a dog he didn't like and has had several sitters and this is the first time we've ever encountered a situation like this- not to mention we had already done a meet and greet! We tried having a conversation with Laura, offering a variety of suggestions and ideas to keep the dogs calm and happy and explained that it had only been a few hours. She claimed that her dog was not getting along with Hank so we tried to explain that both dogs might need time to adjust to their situation. She refused to listen to any of this, hung up on us, and then we received an automated message from Rover saying that she was canceling the stay. Because this was Christmas weekend, all of our friends and previous Rovers were out of town or busy and all of the local boarding places were full. We were very concerned for Hank's well being and the only option we had was to turn around and fly back to DC, ruining our weekend and holiday that was supposed to be spent in Florida with family. Laura's lack of reliability cost me my vacation, hundreds of dollars in a last minute return flight, and a lot of stress. There are lots of great sitters on this site, so if you value your vacation time, I advise you to find somebody more reliable and with more experience taking care of dogs. We hope nobody else has to endure an experience like this.
