Passionate About Pet Care
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Laura, I'm a nurse (trying to get licensed in California) with a passion for caring for animals. I have worked with animal rescues in Puerto Rico to re-home stray dogs. Caring for rescue dogs and nursing them back to health to find them loving forever homes. I moved from the North Hollywood area to Encino and look forward to meeting new pups! I am passionate when it comes to animal care and ensuring that your animal is safe, comfortable, and well looked after is always my priority. I have the most experience with dogs, having grown up with them and educated myself on dog behavior through reading Patricia McConnell's engaging novels and further research, I am confident in my ability to anticipate any and all needs they may have. I RARELY take last minute requests and ONLY in the case where I have met or cared for your dog previously. I require at least a week advance notice for NEW clients so a meet and greet can be scheduled before confirming. Please feel free to send me a message even if my calendar says I'm unavailable during that time. I NEVER accept last minute requests from NEW clients for HOUSE SITTING OR DROP-IN VISITS.
Reviews
Laura provided great care for our cats while we were away on vacation. She also was quick and thorough with communication and photo updates. My wife and I highly recommend.
Laura was great with our nervous rescue dog and kept us updated with pictures and check ins throughout our trip. We look forward to using her again.
Laura is awesome!
Laura was a great house/pet sitter the week of the holidays, allowing me to travel home to see my loved ones! She kept me up to date with daily behavior/mood reports on Teddy, as well as pics. Came home to a clean house and a happy dog. Would 100% book again!

While caring for a dog or cat in the owners home I'll respect the owners wishes in how and what they allow their dog to do indoors as well as try and keep the dog on a similar daily schedule.

Information Laura Q. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know about your dog's normal routine and any favorite toys or games they may have. Does your dog have a specific doggy diet? Any medications they take? Do they get along with other dogs/animals? Leash reactivity? Separation anxiety? How long can they be left alone? Are there any specific commands you are trying to teach them that I should continue to train while you are away? I love all dogs, every friend I have will attest to this. Every time I see a dog I immediately go "PUPPY!" to myself and whoever is within reach of me. Quoth my father: "All dogs are your dogs." That being said, I have an especially soft spot for Golden Retrievers, Labradors, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
A typical day
I try to keep as close to the owner's schedule and care activities for the dog as possible. If there are any specific areas the dog enjoys walking around, a favorite game they enjoy playing (tug, fetch, etc) I will walk them and engage them in play. I love going on hikes and walking around parks with dogs, if your dog is an avid park and hike goer even better! If your dog is a more low energy type, just enjoying lounging around and binge watching Netflix or being pampered I am all for it.
