Training Experience, Personal Care

Looking for a sitter who pays attention to your dog’s habits, follows your instructions, and understands that every pet is different? I offer boarding, daycare, walks, and drop-in visits in Raeford, with walks and visits available in surrounding areas. I also have access to Fort Bragg. My background in dog training helps me bring structure, patience, and mental enrichment to your dog’s care. Whether your dog enjoys practicing familiar cues or needs a gentler pace, I take time to understand what works for them. I also have experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs. For boarding, I welcome dogs from just one guest household at a time. Your dogs can stay together without sharing their visit with boarding dogs from other families. They’ll join my two resident dogs in a home with a fenced yard, with compatibility discussed before booking. I welcome detailed instructions. Your pet’s feeding routine, familiar cues, preferences, and boundaries help me provide care that feels consistent with home. I also offer cat drop-ins for families who want their cats cared for in familiar surroundings. I do require meet and greets for first time clients. Daycare and boarding stays are required to be dog friendly and will be required to meet my two pups in a neutral location before booking is confirmed. Pets must be up to date on vaccinations and not be carrying fleas. Any and all behavioral issues must be disclosed prior to booking. This allows us both to determine if my care and environment is the best fit for your pet.

Laura was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Elphie! She dropped in each day right on schedule and made sure Elphie was fed, happy, and well cared for. We really appreciated the daily updates—complete with photos and little notes about how Elphie was doing. It gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Laura was reliable, attentive, and clearly loves animals. We would happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, trustworthy pet sitter.

This was my second time with Laura watching my cats for me. She does an excellent job, and I couldn't recommend her enough! She is extremely kind and responsive, and she always sent lots of updates about how they were doing while I was out of town.

Pet care is my main focus, so I have flexibility to plan visits, walks, and stays around your pet’s routine. Before booking, we’ll discuss the timing and attention they need to make sure my schedule is a good fit. I’m based in Raeford, with access to Fort Bragg, and welcome inquiries from Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and nearby communities. Include your dates and neighborhood when messaging so I can confirm availability for your location.

Safety, trust & environment

My home has a fenced yard and room for dogs to play and relax indoors. I welcome boarding dogs from one guest household at a time, giving your pets individual attention while allowing dogs from the same family to stay together. I have two dogs of my own, so we’ll discuss compatibility and arrange a meet-and-greet before a first stay. Tell me how your dog handles play, sharing space, and downtime so we can assess whether my home suits them. For care in your home, I follow your instructions and respect your pet’s familiar routine and your household boundaries. Details are welcome, especially the little things that help your pet feel secure.

Pets

A typical day

Your dog’s day will reflect what they enjoy and what suits their age, energy, and personality. That might mean fetch in the fenced yard, sniffing and exploring on a walk, practicing familiar training cues, or settling in for quiet company. I enjoy giving dogs something to do with their minds as well as their bodies, with time to rest between activities. An energetic dog and a senior who prefers a slower pace deserve care that fits them. For drop-ins, we’ll agree on how to use the visit around your pet’s needs, whether that’s feeding, a potty break, play, litter care, or companionship. Shy pets can take their time warming up.

Tell me what makes your pet feel comfortable and what makes them uneasy. Their personality, energy level, daily routine, and favorite activities help me plan care that suits them. Please share feeding instructions, allergies, health needs, and any medications, along with your veterinarian’s information and an emergency contact. For dogs, I’d also like to know about interactions with other dogs, separation anxiety, guarding food or toys, escape habits, and any bite history. For boarding or daycare, include their usual sleeping arrangements, whether they’re comfortable in a crate, and how they settle in unfamiliar places. You don’t need a perfectly behaved pet to start the conversation. Honest details help us decide whether I’m the right fit and set everyone up for a comfortable visit.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
