Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Laura and I have had animals, specifically cocker spaniels all my life. I've also had a cat. I am passionate about positive enforcement training and dog nutrition and have really invested in learning about both areas to be up to date with the newest information. I treat all animals as if they are my own and volunteer with the local rescues. I’ve fostered and foster failed with San Diego Spaniel Rescue and The Animal Pad. I have also rescued from the Humane Society in San Diego and Reno, and specifically foster/rescue seniors. I have experience with seniors, puppies, and special needs animals. In addition to my personal experience owning and fostering, I have also sat for several friends ranging from "drop-in" visits to extended stays. I have a 2 year old cocker spaniel named Henry who loves meeting new friends! I take animal care and welfare very seriously and believe that it is a privilege to be a pet owner, not a right. That being said, you can rest assured that your dog will be in good hands with me and that I will treat him/her as my own and with the utmost respect.
Reviews
Treated my pups like her own!! Went above and beyond with our cocker spaniel. Sent lots of photos and updates during the stay. Can’t recommend Laura enough!
Laura is truly amazing! She took amazing care of my pup plus provided great feedback for future dog daycare visits. Highly recommend!
Laura is very professional and helpful to me as a new dog owner. She is very responsive and took great care of my pup!
My dog had a wonderful time with Laura. She was sweet, communicative, and thorough during his stay with her. She paid special attention to his feeding ritual as he has diabetes. I felt relieved to know Wyatt was in good hands under her care. I would definitely use Laura’s services again!!

Information Laura P. would like to know about your pet
1. Is your dog reactive? If so, to what? What do you do to keep him/her calm. 2. Treat and Food restrictions 3. Activity restrictions 4. Aggressive tendencies ** Please note: I cannot take any dogs that have aggressive tendencies, resource guarding or barking issues. I have a reactive puppy and it is very toxic for his wellbeing to be surrounded by dogs that may induce stress. If your dog ends up being aggressive I will charge more for your stay as it creates a difficult situation and I have to keep the dogs separated so my dog doesn’t get hurt/stressed out.** I do not have any breed preference but must disclose that although I don't agree with it, my apartment does not allow "aggressive breeds" and so I will not be able to take those bookings. Again, I don't agree but I have to abide by the rules of my complex. Feel free to ask questions if you do have a "bully" breed.
A typical day
Your dog can expect to go on walks, hikes, brunch and the beach (if allowed). As i've mentioned before, I treat all as if they are my own and will include them in my day to day as much as possible. When i'm home on the weekends I am HOME, so your pup will be around me for 8+ hours. If i'm watching your cat then they will have all the privacy they want and need.
