Pet care experience
I grew up in Elizabeth, CO and I have owned dogs, cats, and usually some other critter my whole life. I grew up training horses on my familys ranch and the dog training usually went hand in hand with that. My husband and I recently moved to Trinidad from Nederland, CO with our cat, rabbit, and 2 yr old black mouth cur. We are loving the open space and the community! I have a state parks pass and really enjoy taking pups to the lake and on hikes, and my dog is loving having a lake so close he can splash around in. I’ve currently been trying to work with my dog on his socialization, he’s a pretty shy and cautious pup to begin with and we’re starting to get to the critical age when puppy becomes dog.
Reviews
Laura does a great job watching/walking Cash. She always keeps me updated on him when I'm out of town. When Cash was a puppy I would tell Laura what we were working on in obedience and she would take time to focus on those things while I was out of town so Cash was still moving forward in his training even if I wasn't able to Focus on him as much.
Laura has taken care of our miniature dachshunds (Emmett and Tucker) on several occasions, both at her home and also as a pet/house sitter for us. She loves our dogs like they are her own, spends time playing with them throughout the day and sends us photos and updates while we're away. She always follows the directions we leave for her and on a few occasions, was happy to adjust her schedule when we were delayed in returning to town. She is very in tune with our dogs and they love being with her. You won't regret having her take care of your animals!

I don't really have a preference of a breed, I was bit by a pitbull when I was a kid so I generally use a little extra caution around that breed when first meeting them, but I don't discriminate and some of my favorite dogs I’ve taken care of were pitbulls.
