I spent the past two years house-sitting and traveling around the U.S. It was a great way to explore new parts of the country and play with so many wonderful furry friends. Now I've settled down in St. Petersburg and I would like to continue to be able to look after and interact with people's dogs in my own home. Prior to hitting the road two years ago I lived and worked in Washington, DC for eleven years. Throughout my time in DC, I helped numerous neighbors while they were out of town by caring for their pets. I also pet-sat for short periods of time for fellow American foreign service officers while I worked at the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland caring for pets and taking care of their houses. Why I love dog sitting I very much enjoy the company of dogs, but travel too much to own one myself. Dog-sitting as my schedule permits offers me quality time with so many wonderful dogs in a flexible manner as well as an opportunity to help pet-owners enjoy a truly care-free trip knowing their furry friend is safe and happy.
