Personalized care for happy pups!

Pet care experience

I am a graduate of the Animal Behavior College dog obedience program and dog mom to my Border Collie rescue, Raven and my new Toy Australian Shepherd puppy, Yeti. We do daily hikes and walks, and have varied playtime activities and outings. My husband and I have no kids and I spend most of my time with my pups. Training, exercising, and loving on them. I have completed an apprenticeship with a local dog trainer and have had experience training my own dogs. I have lived with dogs my entire life, from rottweilers to shih-poo's. My dog is a young energetic girl and gets along well with most dogs when properly introduced. I have cared for many different types of dogs and love to treat them as if they were one of my own.

Doggie care doesn’t get much better than with Laura! She is very intune with my dog’s quirky ways and always takes such good care of him. I can truly enjoy my time away because I know Boomer is in such good hands!

Information Laura M. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know the breed, sex, energy level, and if their is any special needs specific to your dog. I also like to know if they are crate trained or have any separation anxiety issues. If a dog is being left alone overnight, I need to know that this is something they are accustomed to and they will be ok with so as not suffer extreme anxiety. My goal is to keep your dog as safe and happy as they deserve!

A typical day

MEET AND GREET: I would like to note that I find the meet and greet to be integral before providing care for a new client. As I have my pups Raven and Yeti, it is very important to me to make sure that our dogs get along if they are going to interact during your dog's care. Even if my dogs will not be present, I want to know that your dog feels comfortable with me and want to see their environment. I want to be advised of their routines, location of food, leashes, toys, etc. I also ask that small children (under 10) not attend meet and greets if my dog is present as she has not had a lot of experience with small children. :) FEEDING: I feed your dog as per your instruction and can administer oral or topical medication if needed. If your dog has any allergies or is not allowed certain treats, I will follow your instruction with care. I only provide healthy and dog acceptable treats to my dog as I will yours. If your dog is only allowed specific treats, please advise and provide them while he or she is under my care. On A Drop In Visit: If you just need someone to drop in, let your dog out, and give them some some attention and mental stimulation, that is one of my most favorite parts of dog care! I can feed them and fill waters, give them oral or topical medications if needed, play with them, and make sure they are comfortable and feeling loved. I can also perform tasks such as collecting mail, rotating lights, or watering plants, while dropping in at your home. On A WALK: I love to hike and walk and walking with dogs is the best! I provide 30min walks, but can double the time up for a longer walk upon time availability if your dog requires more activity. I can walk multiple dogs (up to three) together or I can split time between them and walk them separate if necessary. I can walk wherever your dog is most comfortable. I am attentive to other dogs or critters in the area while walking to ensure the safety of your dog(s). I always clean up after each dog and will advise of any potty times. I will be sure to let you know if any dog seems to be having tummy troubles or bowel irregularities. I walk rain, snow, or shine as long as it is safe. We have a lot of fun doing what both dogs and I love!
