Pet care experience
I've been a trusted dog-sitter for friends and family for five years. Currently, I'm a volunteer with BADRAP, where I've been a barn crew member and Pit Ed handler for a year. At the rescue barn my duties include taking care of up to eight pit bulls at a time. I've taken pit bulls through class where they learn basic manners and become socialized. My experiences have taught me how to set animals up for success in order to find them forever homes. I have an appreciation for all animals, love making them happy, and really enjoy seeing them get adopted to amazing families! Before becoming a volunteer with BADRAP, I volunteered at Berkeley Animal Care Services. I'm responsible, friendly, and have a black rescue kitty, Lucy.

Laura is an incredibly responsible and personable individual who is also a genuine lover of animals. My partner and I have relied on Laura to take care of our dog and two cats on multiple occasions and have always been thankful to have her take such good care of our pets while away. Laura was a fantastic dog-sitter! She took great care of our border collie / blue-heeler mixed dog and gave her regular walks and TLC. Laura took such great care of our dog Califa! She kept her company, took her on walks, gave her lots of pets. Califa is usually eager to see us when we come back home. This time she seemed much more calm. I imagine it's because Laura gave her lots of love and took her on nice walks. We have a happy dog! Laura's awesome.

A typical day
I am available to take your dog/s on walks or runs. I enjoy going out into the mountains for some trail walks or runs, as well as more leisurely strolls around Lake Merritt or a local park. Let me know if your dog really needs a fun day out, and we can arrange for something more special than a 30 or 60 min walk!
