Pet care experience
I come from a family of dog lovers, so I have been playing with pups since I was born. My family kept a range of dogs, both inside and out. I am obsessed with dogs, but my apartment does not allow pets, so I lavish attention on my friends' animals. During the past six years, I have pet-sit a husky mix, a hound mix, a large pitbull, a small cur mix, a pitbull-sharpei mix, a Labrador retriever, and a Chihuahua, as well as cats and chickens. Most of the dogs were healthy and middle-aged, but a couple were quite old and/or had health issues.

I absolutely recommend Laura for any pet care, any pet. She sincerely loves animals and I always feel secure knowing she is taking care of my boys. I have a pitbull, dachshund mix and a cat and she has dog sat many times for week long vacations. My boys love her too and that says it all.
The most important thing about Laura's dog sitting skills is that she loves dogs. And when I say "love," I don't mean your everyday, average love. I mean big, ol', whopping LOVE. She will happily give your dogs the attention that they need and deserve while keeping you posted on how they are doing with pictures and texts. You can count on her to put Fido's well-being as her number one priority while she's taking care of him. She is flexible and dependable, and she is frequently available for last minute bookings. I highly recommend her for any dog sitting needs!

I would like to know how the dog tends to respond to other dogs as well as people, both children and adults, especially if I will be walking the dog in public places. I would also like to know about any needs or quirks the dog may have, such as being afraid of bad weather, not liking certain sounds (lawnmowers, etc.), and any special treats, toys, etc., that the dog might find comforting while the owners are away.
A typical day
In the past, I have taken dogs on walks around City Park, around Frenchmen Street, and even to their favorite bars (a previous client loved Finn McCool's). I am open to dog-walking just about anywhere that the dog is comfortable going. I'm down to play ball, frisbee, etc., or just chill on the couch with the dog and watch Netflix.
