Pet care experience
Hi there! Thanks for coming by my page. My beloved lab passed away a couple of years ago, and I have been missing the joys and companionship of having a pet in my home. I may not have any "specialty" pet care experience, but I do know how to love dogs, care for dogs, and will make your dog my priority and responsibility for the time they're with me. I've been a mama to several dogs, including a German Shepherd, Lab Mix, and Jack Russel Mix. I often dog-sit my friends' beloved pets, and am ready to open that up to my community as well :)

Laura was great at communicating and was flexible with our drop off/pick up times which was so helpful! She took great care of my boy and made sure he was comfortable! I loved getting daily pictures of him too! Would definitely book with Laura again!
Laura was a wonderful sitter! I was traveling to see family and she was perfectly located and in a very nice neighborhood, and easy to communicate with. She sent me updates and pictures everyday, and my border collie seemed to have a great time with her! Dusty came back healthy and happy, and I had piece of mind that he was in safe and caring hands so I could enjoy my family. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the Portland area!
Laura was great at making us feel at ease with our first rover experience. The second that our dog met her, we could tell that he knew she was a dog person! Laura was very communicative and sent frequent updates during our dogs stay. We will definitely book with Laura again!

Your pet will feel comfortable in my home. They will be allowed on furniture and in all spaces. I don't have a yard, but can offer plenty of walks around the neighborhood or can bring your pup on a local hike with me! I have dog bowls, leashes, and dog beds available. I don't have a crate, so if your dog requires one, I'd ask you to provide that.

It would be helpful to know if your dog has any anxiety or behaviors, so I can prepare to best support them during their stay. I'd love to know the hours they typically walk and eat, to carry over their regular schedule. Lastly, I'd love to know their favorite treats so I can have some on hand!
A typical day
There are so many areas to walk around where I live. Wilshire Park is right down the street, and I love going to Alberta Park. Forest Park and Cathedral Park are easy drives that I love to visit often, and would happily bring your dog along.

Availability
I mainly work from home, while providing in-home therapy to my clients around Portland. I am never gone from home for more than a few hours. I am available to get your dog out for morning, afternoon, and evening walks, as well as for companionship throughout the day and night.
