I’ve spent 30 years taking care of cats and dogs of all types including time fostering and trapping for animal rescues. I’ve completed CPR and animal first aid certification with the Red Cross and have significant experience with medications, including while my own cat, Cocoa, had chemotherapy. I have significant experience watching other folks pets and I love them. I bake organic cat and dog treats in my spare time to give away. I donate 20% of proceeds (once I subtract my expenses) to animal rescue. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets (I’ve bathed close to 100 cats at this point but don’t recommend trying it at home) for decades.

Just arrived home and needed to leave a review! Laura truly cared for our pets and home while we were out of town. We could tell that our pets were happy the entire time we were gone based on their mood. She communicated the entire time with cute pics and made us feel anxiety free. We couldn’t be more appreciative, highly recommend!

Laura is a wonderful cat sitter, and I highly recommend working with her! This was my cat's first time home alone for a full week and she was incredibly attentive and caring to him on her visits and provided timely and detailed updates to me on his progress. She made sure to monitor his behavior closely at first to make sure he was acting normally and wasn't distressed, and it really allowed me to be comfortable while I was away. Based on the photos and videos, he enjoyed his week too! She really spent time interacting with him and even got him to use a water fountain, which I really appreciated. I will definitely work with Laura again.

I spend at least 30 minutes per visit interacting with the pet, and usually bring a home-made treat if the pet owner ok’s it ahead of time. If the pet is willing, I spend time walking, playing, or snuggling. If the pet is shy, I usually sit in the room and talk or sing to them. If there are medications, I usually spend about 10 minutes interacting, deliver the medication (and if pet dietary constraints allow, a treat), and then spend another 15 minutes interacting.

A typical day
I love to snuggle on the couch with a pup and a kitty. I like to take pups on walks through nature to see the flowers and animals. Cabot is a favorite.

Availability
I’m currently working remotely and am able to get out several times a day to walk. I’d love to find pet companions to walk with me! (Cocoa used to walk on a leash with me, but my two new rescue cats are not interested.) I am out of town at times for work trips, but whenever I am in town I love to walk and host and visit animals.
