I’ve always been a pet person. I grew up helping take care of our two family dogs. I would help my parents walk them, feed them, and most recently train our now two year old puppy. And while younger me would likely not admit it, I really did enjoy the time I spent with our dogs even if it was coined as a “chore”. I enjoyed it so much that I would cat-sit and dog-sit for families in our neighborhood when they went on vacation. From those jobs, I gained experience interacting with new animals, administering medication, and facilitating “playdates”. These experiences caring for pets taught me responsibility but also how important it was for me to be surrounded by animals. I greatly miss being around dogs and hope to help care for your dog while you’re away.
