Pet care experience
I have 3 dogs of my own ranging from small to large size that have been part of my family for 4 years; all are rescued. Before that, I was pet-sitting for family, friends, and neighbors while they were away. I love animals in general. I have been to several training courses with all of my dogs, and one of them is becoming a therapy dog that goes out to hospital settings to comfort patients. Dog walking: I go out for walks with my dogs all the time, walking up to 4 dogs at a time. I have experience walking dogs that don't know how to walk on a leash yet, dogs that walk nicely, and dogs that pull constantly and try to chase other animals they may see. Pet-sitting: My husband and I have also fostered dogs for animal rescues. So I have experience caring for all types of dogs. I have a dog that is very smart and gets into everything, which has made me very conscious of household security. My priority with all the dogs I care for is to make them comfortable, happy, and safe.
Reviews
Bruin loves spending time with Laura and her pack! Laura has been a constant in Bruins life since we brought him home! He’s always well cared for and exercised. Laura goes above and beyond her services and we always knows he is in great, loving, caring hands!!
Laura has been amazing. We got a new puppy and were so nervous to have anyone watch her that we didn’t know but as soon as I met Laura and her husband I felt at ease. You can tell they are passionate about animals and care for every dog that comes into their house like their own. Our puppy Sky has so much fun there that when I come to pick her up she doesn’t want to leave. I would recommend Laura again and again.
Laura did an awesome job taking care of my pups. She was very thorough about checking in so I knew they were doing well during our time away.
Laura is very friendly and easy to communicate with. She went beyond expectation with entertaining Miles for the day!

Safety, trust & environment
With three of my own dogs, there are plenty of friends here to entertain a visiting pup. They are very friendly but can be overwhelming on the initial meeting. I insist on meet and greets for dogs coming to my home so that they can be comfortable with the environment and the other dogs before they are left there. If there is a period of time that my husband and I will not be home, I prefer to crate the visiting dog for the safety of all the dogs. A visiting dog must be able to tolerate a crate for at least a few hours for that reason. All playtime is carefully supervised. Whether in my own home or at your home, I will not take dogs outside unfenced and unleashed even if it is what the dog normally does. I like to take all possible precautions to keep the dogs in my care safe. If they have to travel in my car, they will be secured by a doggie seatbelt.

Information Laura M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about the personality of the dog and specific requirements or quirks the dog might have, such as whether the dog chases things, pulls on the leash, is shy with strangers, gets along with other dogs, etc. Breed doesn't matter to me, but personality is everything.
A typical day
Some places we may enjoy on walks are the Blackstone River Bikeway, the Cumberland Monastery, Chase Farm in Lincoln, or the dog park in Wrentham, MA or Smithfield, RI.

Availability
I work as a teacher, so I have lots of availability during the summer but more limited availability during the school year. My husband occasionally helps out with daycare since we work different hours. While we are both working we do have a limit to one or two dogs for daycare and give priority to repeat clients.
