Long Night Walks and Tons of Love!

Pet care experience

My name is Laura and I recently moved back up to D.C. after finishing graduate school. I have been wanting my own dog forever, but sadly am not allowed to have pets in my current home. I will stop dead in my tracks every time I see a dog on the street because dogs make me THAT happy. I have had dogs growing up ever since I was 9 years old. My family currently has 2 standard poodles who I completely adore. I love taking them on long night walks, snuggling with them, etc. Let me put my love of dogs to good use by taking them on long walks and house-sitting! I work in Dupont Circle, and live off U St. During lunch I am available to walk your dog or stop in to feed them and give them the attention you would want to them have while they're away. I start work at 9 AM and finish at 5:30 PM. I can walk or check in on your dog any time before or after work.

Information Laura K. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting or walking your dog, please let me know if they have any fears (of other people, children, other dogs, storms, etc.) that I should be aware of. I'd also like to know if they are allowed to have dog treats and what kinds. Let me know their favorite toys and activities (fetch, tug-of-war, etc.) I am open to all breeds, but especially love bigger dogs. Think golden retrievers, bernese mountain dogs, saint bernards, standard poodles, etc.

A typical day

Your dog and I will go out and explore the many awesome walking paths and areas D.C. has to offer! I live close by Meridian Park and Rock Creek Park, so your dog can definitely plan on checking out those areas. In addition, I have my car, so if there is a park that your dog loves that is a little farther away I can definitely bring them there! I will play fetch with your dog, let them meet new people and other dogs (if they enjoy that) and give them lots of attention. I'll also make sure your dog always has water nearby to keep them hydrated during this hot summer!
