I have had a dogs for 27 years of my life. When we have not been able to have our own pets, my husband and I took care of all our friends dogs when they needed help. My last dog was a 94 lb shepherd (paraplegic for last 11 mos with Degenerative Myelopathy) and have experience with harnesses and wheels. I also make raw dog food (I am a human nutritionist) and as a Quantum Health Coach, will ensure your pets get sunshine & exercise multiple times a day alongside me! Once we have our initial meet & greet I insist on a day sit before boarding to help your dog feel more at home here. Also I only board and day sit non-reactive dogs as I have to ensure they are all safe and having fun.

Let me begin by saying that my husband and I thought that Laura was "AMAZING". From the moment she opened her door during our Meet and Greet, I could see and feel her enthusiasm on the prospect of boarding our dog Stitch. Laura was so easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable and welcome right from the start. She greeted Stitch as if she'd known him for years and missed seeing him. We went for a walk, so that she could get information about our dog and see for herself what he was like. She asked detailed information about his routines, habits, health, etc.. Her love for dogs was evident from the get go. Living in a country setting was the perfect place for Stitch. She brought him for daily walks, hikes, and even gave him the opportunity to swim in the river, something that he absolutely loves. Being the first time we board our dog, you'd think we would be somewhat worried, but it was the complete opposite, we felt so comfortable and reassured that we felt Stitch was on his own vacation. We received photos and videos during his stay, and when we picked him up, he was happy and running around with another dog, something that he doesn't have the opportunity to do where we live. Her knowledge of dog behaviour was also very evident during the feedback we received upon pick-up. Little things that she noticed, confirmed how well she paid attention to his needs. Do we highly recommend Laura...Absolutely!! Will we return in the future....Absolutely!! Should you board your dog with Laura...100%!! Thank you Laura and Paul for everything!
Laura is very accommodating! She shows genuine care for animals. Our dog was shown a lot of love and attention. I’m sure he had lots of activity as he came home ready for bed. Definitely 💯 recommend Laura!
We left our 2 dogs with Laura for a week and she treated them like her own pets. Both dogs were bey happy with there stay. Tehley our chocolate lab had loads of outdoor fun. I would totally recommend her services.
I couldn't imagine a better person to look after Indie! Laura is gentle, confidence, great with dogs. The perfect person if you're thinking of having someone look after you furbaby!

At our meet & Greet I use a checklist to ensure we don't forget anything especially any unique commands for recall, or any other tips to help them feel more loved and comfortable when they are here.
A typical day
We love to play in the backyard with retrieving balls and tug of war if your dog likes that and if I have more than 1 dog they usually enjoy supervised playtime together. Because I need exercise too, we will walk usually minimum 3km/day around our quite country loop. If I am working, I have a comfy beds beside my desk. If your dog has good recall and energy I like to add in cross country skiing, trail hiking and paddleboarding.

Availability
I work from home and schedule my own hours. I prioritize morning light for walks before I start work and take sunlight breaks/walks/playtime throughout the day for the pets I care for. We have a perfect quiet 1km loop to walk and a park across the road with access to a lake. If the dog is well trained, they can come trail hiking, paddleboarding and cross country skiing as well for added fun.
