Hello! Most call me Laurie. (: I have cared for pets and their homes consistently from La Conner to Olympia for over 35 years with many happy repeat clients. I also travel house/pet sit outside of WA. Though currently dog-less, I've been gifted with some pretty wonderful dogs ( cats, birds, fish, ferrets, rabbits, etc) of my own over the years! I'm a mature, physically active woman, with a keen intuition and true passion for and connection with animals, nature, and the great outdoors! I hike with, and care for others dogs and their homes for a living—working both on and off Rover and WAG! apps. I enjoy providing clients with excellent/professional services. I have experience caring for all breeds and ages of dogs including: Puppies to elder dogs, special needs dogs including but not limited to; diabetic dogs, blind dogs, paralyzed dogs, deaf dogs (and cats). I can administer medications, including injections (insulin, etc). Walks and/or hikes are vital to your dogs good physical and mental well-being and are a large part of my service to your dog (s). Lot's of play time, affection, and positive affirmation will also be provided throughout the day. I also provide socialization for dogs experiencing social anxiety, and have worked with many such dogs as I noticed a great need for this service following the onset of Covid. While we were all social distancing, our pets were as well, and as a result many dogs now experience anxiety when out in social settings (especially true for those who acquired/adopted dogs when/while we were all on lockdown due to the pandemic).
