Pet care experience
Experience with pet-sitting and walking both dogs and cats. Would love to spend more time with animals as I'm unable to have a pet of my own at present. I recognize that many of you view your pets as members of your family and I assure you that I will treat them with the utmost respect and care! I am also knowledgeable about canine and feline behaviour and body language. I also have experience with senior and rescue pets!

Laura did a wonderful job housesitting for us while we were out of the country for a week. We have a fairly big dog that is reactive to other dogs and Laura did very well handling her. She also sent us loads of photos and videos while we were away and I could tell from them how much she cared for our girl, which really put us at ease. Thank you Laura!
Laura was a wonderful sitter to our two cats while we were on a short vacation. She kept us updated with lots of great pictures and we could tell the cats felt very comfortable with her. We’re very grateful for Laura and highly recommend her.

Some nervous dogs do better if you initially ignore them on the first meeting to give them time to get comfortable with you on their terms, so let me know if there's a particular way you'd like me to behave on a meet and greet!
A typical day
I will play with your dog or cat for as long as they want me to! I also often let the dog choose the route for walks and stay out as long as they wish (with the owner's permission of course!)

Availability
Nearly always available on weekends and evenings/nights unless already booked. On weekdays I can usually do most of the day but my schedule changes frequently, so whether I can stay at a house full time or not depends on the week - so feel free to ask! Also do pet portrait paintings!
