Paws Up for Peace of Mind!

Pet care experience

I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician (nurse) with a background in medical oncology, intensive care, and private practice. My passion for animal nursing and caring for animals has driven me to learn as much as I can to help pets live the best lives possible, as comfortably as possible. I was nominated for LSU SVM's Heart of the Hospital award in 2022 due to my skilled, caring, & compassionate nature. I am trained and skilled in giving medications by any route indicated. Most commonly at home this ranges from SQ fluids/injections, oral medications, feeding tube feedings, etc. If your pet has any involved medical care needs you can take peace of mind knowing he or she will be in exceptional hands! I am also skilled in canine and feline CPR training and comfortable perform any triage work necessary while rushing your baby to the pet hospital if the need were to arise. I have undergone fear free training as well, to where I'm confident earning the trust of animals that may be more shy and require gentle, slow interactions. I currently work remote providing Telehealth services for pet parents. My remote job hours are M-F (2pm-10pm). Therefore I can stay in your home and overnight with your pets while you're away if Wi-Fi is provided. I believe it helps to reduce stress for many pets- especially seniors- staying in their home environment while their pet parents are away. If you don't see dates for at home overnight stays listed that you want, please feel free to message me and we can see what we can do! I own several guinea pigs, a cat, and 2 dogs (an American Pitbull Terrier and Puggle). Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions! I look forward to helping take care of your babies while you're away. If you need *House Sitting* outside my 15 mile radius, accommodations may be made!

Laura loves animals and has her entire life. She's dedicated her life to ensuring their happiness and health. There is no kinder care taker for our furry friends. In her care an animal can truly be considered safe and well cared for.

Information Laura H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog or cat has any known medical conditions, SQ fluid administered needs, special diet/food allergies beforehand. Or requires a slow feeder bowl for meal time. To avoid unnecessary tummy upset I will feed and treat what you leave for them, unless otherwise approved.

A typical day

I enjoy walking dogs to provide them with mental stimulation, exercise, and a sense of adventure. Tug, fetch, or any other game they like as well!

My remote work schedule is Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm MDT. I'm free outside of these times frames to drop in or walk your pups, feed/medicate them, take them on an outing to the River/Park for a walk. As well as to tend to any kitty cat friends! Feed, socialize, medicate, play with, or sit besides them and pet them if that is what they prefer! If you need in home overnight stays during that time, as long as you have WiFi, I can look into accommodating.
