I've never met a dog I didn't love!
Pet care experience
My parents were allergic to fur...meaning I have years and years of pent-up dog love in me! Despite this, I spent a lot of time with dogs as a freelance photographer and overall enthusiast. I wish I could refer you on here to my friends, all of whom could immediately attest that I'm the biggest dog lover they know. I'm energetic, flexible, and patient. Whether your dog wants to sleep on the couch, lick faces, sprint around the yard, or go for a long walk, I'm already excited to meet them. I also prioritize clarity of communication, so please feel free to get in touch with me before I meet your pup. Additionally, if you're cool with it, I'd love to take some (free!) pictures of your dog, just because I love them that much.
Reviews
Laura was amazing, so attentive and responsible! She constantly gave us updates, our pups love her! We will definitely be booking her in the future, thank you Laura!!
Laura recently dog-sat my senior pup for 10 days for the second time and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely communicative, thoughtful, and sends loads of pictures and videos daily without prompting. I felt extremely comfortable with Max in her care despite his long-standing back issues & myriad powders to administer. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for a dog sitter.
You are the absolute best! I love that you make an effort to take him to the park. Means a lot!
Laura was an excellent walker for our puppy. She was responsive, punctual and provided a thorough rover card. She went above and beyond and took extra time to get to know our pup.

I ask lots and lots of questions! I always make sure I have a full picture of exactly what your dog needs (food, medication, whether you allow strangers to pet them, any tics or quirky behaviors, and anything else), and I write everything down just in case, too. Unless otherwise specified by you, I’ll always reach out to you if I have any questions on an unusual behavior or circumstance not discussed ahead of time.

Information Laura G. would like to know about your pet
Special needs and dog behavior are important just so I can take the best care of your dog! I have ample experience working with blind, paralyzed, and anxious/reticent dogs, so it’s important I know what works and what doesn’t work with them. (For example, if your dog is/n’t allowed unleashed in the halls, or if your dog doesn’t get along with a neighbor.) I’d always prefer you introduce me to your dog when you’re there (ahead of time) so if there’s anything we might not think to discuss over text, we’ll have the opportunity to do so in-person.
A typical day
My favorite thing to do is go to a dog park (one cleared with you ahead of time) and just hang out there! And my throwing arm never gets sore if your dog loves to play fetch. But with senior and special needs dogs, I’m just as happy to find a patch of sun in the grass, break out a portable water bowl, and people-watch in the fresh air.

Availability
I’m in the office on weekdays, meaning I’m only available for morning and evening walks on weekdays. Over the weekends, if I’m sitting or boarding, though, it’s doggy time! When I was in grad school, I was a regular weekly walker; now that I’m working, I’m best at less-regular drop-ins/vacations/walks while also still leaning on the experience of being a regular walker.
